Outcome: it was a deluge heading into work. Coming out from my car, I grabbed the faux fur flooring I had in the back for Toby and wrapped it around me. I was a bit drier than I would’ve been.

Good AM work; early in shift, my super came up and said, “You know you’re going to be one of the first to go…” Uh-oh, I thought, “Go where?” I asked. “…on 2nd” he replied. I responded positively. He went on to say, “We want to make you a 2nd shift lead man.” WHAT? He said, you’re the only one who has the experience.” WOW! Is this Thurisaz (R) that says, enemy at the gate, or trouble? Or is this Yr that says I’m well-grounded, or even error? Whatever the case, an opportunity has been placed before me. I’d be a fool to ignore it.
*here’s a thought. I’m in a weakened position because I know nothing of being a lead-man @ Spirit; however, I am well-grounded with experience.

Wooooow…more thunder, lightning, heavy rain; this storm from hurricane Newton just is NOT giving up. As it started up again, I went outside to call for Socks. He came-a-running to go into his house.
*news has said earlier this evening we’ve had anywhere between 5-7, upward to 13 inches of rain with this storm, and yet it rains.
