I honor you this day, and I honor every bit of you that resides in me.  I’m grateful for the strong German heritage you’ve provided. I look forward with eager anticipation to the great family reunion on the other side.  I offer you my undying love, honor, respect, and gratitude.
•           no doubt the ones who brought the family over from Europe.

Life is lived at such a price

A ninth one I sing, when dangers at sea forces me

To protect my ship from the stormy waves;
The storm I calm down, no matter how billowing the sea,
And I cradle the waves to sleep.

Rune Lesson:  Friedrich Nietzsche has been famously quoted as saying:

            “That which does not kill us makes us stronger.”
            https://www.goalcast.com/2018/05/07/21-friedrich-nietzsche-quotes/

Life brings difficulties and continual challenges.  We strive THROUGH those difficulties.  For that we might come out on the other side strengthened.  Further, Thomas Fuller, in a 1650 poem wrote;

            “It’s always darkest just before the day cometh.”
            http://www.upliftlife.org/no-its-not-darkest-before-the-dawn/

Or as we have paraphrased it in modernity, “It’s always darkest before the dawn.”  We struggle.
Yet, I think more than anything that pertains to this Rune lesson is a song I remember singing in High School Choir that absolutely resonates today, “You’ll Never Walk Alone.”

When you walk through the storm
Hold your head up high
And don't be afraid of the dark
At the end of the storm
There's a golden sky
And the sweet silver song of the lark
Walk on, through the wind
Walk on, through the rain
Though your dreams be tossed and blown
Walk on, walk on, with hope in your heart
And you'll never walk alone
You'll never walk alone
Walk on, walk on, with hope in your heart
And you'll never walk alone
You'll never walk alone.

Be calm.  At the end of every storm, there are better and brighter days ahead.  What we’re are going through now is only temporary.  All we have to do is hold fast onto what we know to be good and proper, then goodness will come.

1st check on all fur-kids: food, water, litterboxes, shelter.
<>
Outcome: 6 ½ hrs. of sleep, one wakeup, and where are my Lily cuddles?
<>
Well SHIT!  Jasmine bolted out the back door.  She doesn’t belong out there so I had to get her calmed down enough to nab her.  Just when I thought I had achieved that, OMGs!!!!!!!  My right hand suffered a bit from her negative reaction but not badly.

God/dess Meditation: (alternate Sunnastag) Paltar (An: Balder), you’re the blameless god, gloriously shining god, rising god, restoration god, husband to the faithful Nanda, beloved son of Wodan and Frija.  Just as you restore Mittigart after Godotuom, restore us after we experience our own Godotuoms of life.  Let your goodness and your reconciliation smooth our paths on Earth. When our days here are over, light up death’s darkness with the promise of rebirth. Help us to avoid evil and seek the good. Inspired by your example, we will keep our reputations spotless that our lives be proclaimed a victory of the Spirit, and our leaving his life a tragedy. WE GIVE YOU A MOST HEART-FELT HEIL, PALTAR, as we honor the Paltar that resides in us all!
