The VA audiology exam revealed what every other audiology exam reveal; hearing loss. I will be fitted for two hearing aids in a few weeks. There have been many times I have felt like my body is starting to fall apart. I tearfully, but seriously, admitted to my wife I don’t want to be a burden to her.

Toby and I out for an early afternoon, exceptionally well behaved, 30min walk.

I walked into what I perceived fucked-up parts. I have figured out this particular SHF from past experience and know how to deal with it; however, somethings were seriously wrong with the way 1st shift dealt with it. It was the wrong sized cutter and the wrong set back guide; hence, the parts were, IMO, anywhere from .08-.1 undercut when the standard deviation is +/- .03. Also, 1st shift didn’t sign out for the 3 parts they completed. With all this, the set back guide was cross-threaded into the set-back plate which made it damned near impossible to remove. I enlisted the aid of a maintenance mechanic to remedy the set back guide/plate situation. I left the problem order of parts and the accompanying SHF up near the 1st shift lead-man’s desk. I also sent the 1st shift lead an email enumerating my concerns. We shall see if my concerns were legitimate.
