My mother,………. passed away yesterday, September 16, in Wichita. She led a multifaceted life, as a mother, a teacher, a wife, a poet, an activist, a friend, and the list goes on. Going out with her in Wichita would inevitably lead to an encounter with someone she knew, introductions, and the friend letting us know how lucky they were to have Mom around. ….. leaves behind her husband Pat, Annie the dog she rescued from the side of I-35, a few generations of family, and a community that defies description but might be best symbolized as Wichita.
