As you stand so alert for the approach of giants, remind us that we must also watch for our own encroaching evil. Let weakness, cowardice, lies and dishonor be barred from Ensiwëg, the Rainbow Bridge, leading to our heart’s abode. Be a model for vigilance, that we may rise to the best that is in us, and someday join the Noble Gods in their shining homes. Heimo is there to send out the alarm when threats emerge. He is there to comfort with the fact that we are spiritually and physically connected to the gods. Heimo understands our suffering. Called Air Capital Veterinary as soon as the opened. Toby is still not ready to come home. Dr. and I discussed food. He encouraged me to bring some from home. She specifically suggested rice. I cooked up some rice, diced up some chicken with garlic, grabbed some ham and meds, took them in. Dr. said to be careful with the garlic. Like how was I to know? My poor little buddy was content in his cubicle with his IV. Dr. said to check back later today.

Due to the nature and age of the house, the natural stone I wanted is not feasible either. I am opting for a vertical, natural woodgrain looking siding. Now all I have to wait for is the final price before I decide if I can do it.

Got a phone call from a very good old friend about a mutual friend who has died. Supposedly her death was only a little more than 24hrs ago. No details as of yet. All of us have supported Tiller’s clinic during the anti-choice stupidity that one summer. We have all had a friendship with her in some form or another.
On her Fb page people are saying:

That woman was just love and fun and smarts. I'm going to miss her so.

My heart quivers and weeps this day learning of the great loss we have had. Sending love to the family knowing that she is just away from us for a while. We will meet again. Know how much you were loved,

On March 3rd …………………… and I met for lunch. We wanted to get together before the quarantine because it might be a while before we could get together again. I didn't know it would be our final good bye at the time. (She) signed my copy of her book …………………. (She) reminded me in her signing we had done a lot of good work together although it hadn't always been easy or popular with everyone. I have lost a mentor, a fellow activist and a good friend. ……….. means so much to so many people. She was an incredible activist who relentlessly fought for equal rights and social justice. (She) loved her family deeply and wanted a better world for her grandchildren. Our community will miss you desperately

….. and I had a mutual fondness and respect for one another. When I was doing the hard work of abortion rights activism and lobbying, she was always one of my biggest cheerleaders and supporters. I have many memories of protesting together (as do 100% of other Wichita feminists because …..ALWAYS showed up). I have another fond memory of her and I sharing our views on abortion with a group of local middle schoolers who were filming a documentary on the topic for a class project. She shared decades of activism with them and my... how lucky we all were to bear witness to her stories, the rich her-story she was a part creating in Wichita.
She is probably the only woman in Wichita who could rival me for giving a variety of KDP candidates holy hell in a handbag for holding anti-choice views. She was unequivocal in her support for abortion as legitimate and necessary healthcare. She was a fervent supporter of her Wichita feminist sisters in words and in deeds. And she managed to do all of this with a smile and with kindness. She (like …………………. lost before her) was a mentor to me in this movement. I will miss her and always....always...honor and cherish the memories of her unwavering feminism and laughter. Rest in power, my sister.

…… goes to every protest with me. She was such a fabulous partner at the clinic Gates I keep her in mind now when right needs defended.

….. was, and always will be, an inspiration to me. I absolutely adored her spirit, her fight, her intelligence and her strong sense of humanity. How well and how effectively she fought the good fight. This community is brighter for her having been amongst us and so much lessened for her loss. Love to her family at this sad time. Long live her spirit.

I knew ….. through KWA. We did a poetry presentation together several years ago. I airways looked forward to meeting with her because she was so interested, so knowledgeable, and so kind (and quite mischievous). I never knew her as well as I would have liked. What a loss.
