I honor you this day, and I honor every bit of you that resides in me.  I’m grateful for the strong German heritage you’ve provided. I look forward with eager anticipation to the great family reunion on the other side.  I offer you my undying love, honor, respect, and gratitude.

Elder Rune Summons:
Born of fire, born of ice
Life is lived at such a price
Elder Runes in your way
Advise the mortal man today

Elder Rune: Gebo: The mystical union of gift and giver, repay gift for gift, generosity, a fair exchange between people or gods and the Luck that accompanies it; freely exchanged, obligations, contracts, relationships, sometimes sexual, sacrifice, and hospitality, do not take more than we are willing to give, the voluntary sacrifice of resources.

Armanen Rune Summons:
Born of fire, born of ice
Life is lived at such a price
Armanen Runes in your way
Advise the Spirit man today

Armanen Rune: Thorn:
Havamal 148:
A third I take, when danger threatens,

To bind the enemies through magic:
Thus, I dull the steel of the furious opponent.
Like the staff, his sword does not cut anymore.

Donar, deflecting an opponent, making ineffective, protection from danger, enemies bound through magic, impermeable, an awakening, the power to turn, the divine will to act, the law of eternal reincarnation, power to become, Return, new emergence from what's apparently old and dried-up, formative power of the seed, the thunderbolt, targeting goals, activity and the phallus, mental telepathy, projection of the will, fierce protection, psychic attack & defense, penetrating time & space, a constant renewal of life in rebirth, Rune of opposing polarities and of joining opposites, binding of and victory over the enemy.
“Preserve your ego” (List, 51).

Interpretation: Sacrifice (Gebo) brings deflection of an opponent (Thorn).

I could never do what my wife does.  She’s an online assistant.  She has to be self-driven to meet her deadlines.  I would so fail at it.
<>
What can I say about work tonight?  I was there early enough to tie-in with my 1st shift colleague, but could he say anything about the table-shaper being inoperable?  I know he ran at least 3 orders on compliance, but when I got there, he didn’t tell me he spindle was stuck on the bottom.  I stayed in layout all shift because of it.
<>
Last check on all fur-kids.
<>
Shower, 02:00 nighty-night, I get to sleep with my wife.

God/dess Meditation: Ziu
Ziu/Tyr, god of selflessness; of war & glory, one-handed god, sacrificial god, Sergeant at Arms at the Thing, enforcer of law & order, bravest of all gods; you chained the Fenris Wolf that threatened the worlds. We can’t do that, but we can do other things, some ordinary, others heroic. Remind us of your bravery and your sacrifice. Give us the courage and strength we need to fetter out own Fenris. Keep us mindful of our duties and help us keep our fears bound as tightly as you bound old Slaver Mouth. Thus doing, may we share in your glory by imitating you.  WE GIVE YOU MOST A HEART-FELT HAIL, ZIU, as we honor the Ziu that resides in us all!
