My best day on 1st shift thus far. The lead man pulled a few of us aside to show us about hand-routing. He asked if anyone had hand-routed to which I said I had; evidently being the only one in the group. The problem was, he struggled going the wrong way. As I DO have plenty of hand-routing experience, I still minded my tongue. Someone else finally told him to go the other way, then it started going well for him. Taking my turn, I did it just a bit differently by starting in a corner rather than a straight edge. The guy following me, I told him to do the same and it went well for him. By the time I got back to my area, hand-forming was out of work, but the bag press was busy. Initially, I made sure I understood their Hanel ™ tower by finishing putting back a 2nd cart full of form blocks. Then, I set up and ran 5 orders on the bag press with little supervision. Perhaps I AM learning something.

Toby and I out for a pre-sunset, well behaved, 3-block walk. I walked off without the retractable so I had to keep Toby on some very stern voice commands.

We can’t do that, but we can do other things, some ordinary, others heroic. Remind us of your bravery and your sacrifice. Give us the courage and strength we need to fetter out own Fenris. Keep us mindful of our duties and help us keep our fears bound as tightly as you bound old Slaver Mouth. Thus doing, may we share in your glory by imitating you.
