It is fun feeding the strays and figuring out their idiosyncrasies. I don’t worry too much about George. I really think he has a home and J-e feeds him. If he shows up in the breezeway, I will leave him SOMETHING which usually fends him off whether he likes what I leave or not. This, in turn, opens the OTHER feeding space by the recyclables for Ghost. Ghost is the one who has my major concern. Today, I spotted Ghost peering thru some trees waiting for my offering. As soon as I went inside, surely enough, here comes Ghost jumping over the fence to feed.

A breakfast experiment in need of tweaking:
*two scrambled eggs mixed with chopped jalapeños
*hand-shredded and shaped hashbrowns
*all between two blueberry Eggo Waffles
The shape of the hashbrowns need reduced and the waffles need to be crispier.

Toby and I out for a mid-morning, well behaved, 3-block walk. Toby was pretty sluggish today.

*3-block for Toby, 3-block on my own. As long as I can get six blocks in, I don’t feel the need for the treadmill.

I have decided to sit on unemployment for a while, while giving only casual efforts at finding other employment. As long as I take out an adequate amount for taxes, I’ll be okay. Besides, I LIKE not being rushed in my daily activities.

I found this pasta/beef dish that has been sitting for…I don’t know how long…in the deep freezer. At first, I was a bit concerned but it turned out wonderfully; carrots and celery on the side.

I think I have the recycling area graded like I want it. I immediately saw the need to FILL more than grade. The dirt/foundation next to the room addition has started to sink, so I didn’t want to grade TOWARD the foundation; rather, fill then see. I took dirt from the high spots and filled in the low spots. HAHAHAHA…I found a set of measuring spoons. I had a set, but don’t know what happened to them. I am NOT SURE if these were my spoons, but they are now.
