And off my hands the ropes come.

To Mid America Exteriors for a window screen repair. They have a nice new office where the Red Cross used to be. David B., owner and friend from my youth, actually came out. Why is it that old christian friends always ask about my former and most evil christian brother? Well, David got the full Monte. He couldn’t believe it how my former walked away from the family. He told me his life, too. All done in a matter of 10-15min.

Reminiscing about the Nantucket Lightvessel 612. I really do want to go aboard her one more time…soon.

Or not. She looks the same on the outside, but on the inside, not so much. The guy who bought her made her more attractive to the public at large. My memories are of the Coast Guard at large. The whole damned thing looks like one huge wardroom. I know going down the stairs was the crew’s berthing, but that has changed. I know on the other side that was the crew’s head, but that has changed. I know where that galley was, but that has changed. I know where the officer’s wardroom was, but that has changed. I think the only thing that has stayed mostly the same was the crew’s library/movie room. I wander if there is any access to the engine room where I spent a lot of time. So, I’m not sure if all the renovations would be a major disappointment.

NINE mice now?

Not the best shift. Not the worst. I was just ready to go home.

I came home to shit on the bathroom mats. I’m not one to beat Toby for it. Toby was so contrite. He knew he did something he wasn’t supposed to, and I know he held it as long as he could. We trust each other that much. I just cleaned it up the best I could then threw the mats into the laundry.
