In the middle of the night, I heard Socks outside my window. I can imagine he heard me snoring and felt like he could approach me. It was amazing. He wasn’t agitated. He wasn’t in danger. It was just a meow that said I want inside my house. I quickly let him know I heard him and I was coming. He quickly met me at the back gate, ready to go inside. I felt like a real parent hearing the cries of a child.
