Elder Rune Summons:
Born of fire, born of ice
Life is lived at such a price
Elder Runes in your way
Advise the mortal man today

Havamal 156.
A twelfth one I sing, when I see through the brush
The hanged one swinging from the hemp;
He climbs down from the trunk, must tell me his tale
When I carve the Runes right.

Outcome: See? If I don’t have to wake up to an alarm (i.e.; for work), I can get a good 9-hours of sleep. Only slightly interrupted.

I’ve found a way to improve my morning egg sandwich; the typical whole-wheat toasted bread and ham. The difference is two eggs, nuked @ 50% power for three minutes to preserved the yoke instead of it exploding. Improvement for the bread; butter, who would have think it?

Call into the caretaker of the Mennonite Cemetery in Medford, Oklahoma, about gaining access to honor Grannie Aggie; easily approved!

Almost 80deg for a mid-morning, 1-mile walk about did Toby in. He was, nonetheless, an exceptionally well behaved doggie!
<>
Loaded the car with north grave goods, packed a lunch, and with this Rune reading, I’m packing a gun. We’ll see if I head into any rough weather.

On to Abilene where I tooled around on my own @ the Dwight D. Eisenhower Presidential Library and Museum in Abilene, Kansas
*on Facebook https://www.facebook.com/IkeLibrary/
*on the WWW https://www.eisenhower.archives.gov/
There was nothing that said, “PAY HERE” until I made the gift shop, which explained why they shooed me out from the museum without a “ticket”, which turned out to be just fine because the Wx was starting to again turn nasty. Before leaving, I picked up a book for Marius about Kansas at the gift shop. On the way home I got hit with HELUH rain, but I couldn’t bring myself to pull over because I was so worried about Toby. I had to keep moving on down the road.

Once home, I discovered Toby was fine and dry. Essie, of course, was hiding in her closet. Socks wanted to come outside.
<>
Dinner from frozen, raw veggies and a banana split (LOL) added.
<>
Storms continue in Kansas, mostly north of Wichita. Everyplace I was today is still under the gun.
<>
Goddamn, I get a phone call from some Veteran organization seeking $20. I told them I couldn’t because I already have my funds exhausted for the next month. “Oh, let us just put you down for $15. I hung up.
<>
I love it when Essie is a lap kitty.
<>
Socks is not getting the option to come out from his house. It looks like there is still a line of storm heading this way overnight.

Nighty-night

Donar, Son of Wotan and Erda, husband to Sibba, wielder of Malant and Great God of thunder, thunder forth in our lives. When we would hold back, encourage us to advance. When we would be weak, hearten us be strong. When we would shun life’s pleasures, inspire our appetites for that which is lusty and good. Excite our growth from strength to strength; teach us, elder brother, how to throw our own Hammer, and slay the giants who oppose our will. WE GIVE YOU A MOST HEART-FELT HEIL, DONAR, as we honor the Donar that resides in us all!
