Havamal 158.
A fourteenth I sing to the assembled Folk
When naming the divine names;
The Aesir and Alves and their various kinds
No one can spell out without learning.
Determination, Urlag; life fate and destiny, life as law, life following the law, experience, test, temptations by life-circumstances, water, sea, good management, test of life, school of the lives, relations, defeat and the laws of nature, life and primal law, psychic & spiritual awareness, cosmic flow, seeds of thought, the etheric part of the body, initiation that experiences life on earth as a continuous process of initiation, The Cosmic Ocean.
“First learn to steer, then dare the sea-journey” (List, 60).

Interpretation: betrayal (Ehwaz) leads to determination (Laf).
*makes sense.

Outcome: rain continues in the forecast. Once again I’m going to take a chance leaving Toby outside and will be home at lunch to let him inside.

Challenging AM work; workload still almost nil. The machine that provides our department with work is called the Mazak. It was down all last week for maintenance. As of yet there has been NOTHING coming down the pike. In hard metals, there are three machines. Two of them are down. There are some real problems.
*rain held off until 10:00, when the skies just burst! I’m feeling better about Toby’s ability to seek shelter.
*I’ve opted to use 2 days’ vacation, fully supported by the plant Super. I told him, “I’m going to give you guys a few days to catch-up with me”. He laughed.
@ lunch, 11:00, the sun returned. Jeez…
Challenging PM work; doing all I can do to stay busy, or at least look like it. It took until 15:00/3PM until SOMETHING came somewhere from the rear of the plant. Three orders in, and back out.

Essie is certainly ready to go outside when I get home.

Call into brother to tell him about my work situation. He in turn needed my attention for his continued computer problems. The only virus protection he had was a free version of AVG. Unfortunately, encouraged by me, he had to spend $20 on Malwarebytes virus protection. $20 may not seem like much, but to him it might as well have been $100. When ran for the 1st time, it blocked more than 400 yuckies It seemed to help many, if not all, of his problems. I also downloaded a pop-up blocker. CNET.com is amazing! I also deleted his AVG as well as something called CC Cleaner. My hope is Malwarebytes will take care of both.

Potentially a stormy night. All primary fur-kids are under shelter. Stubby is in his box on the porch.
