Off to Medford
It has been an exciting first day of the Memorial Weekend! Of course, the local graves were visited first. After that, it was off to Medford. It rained most all the way; that is, until I got closer to Medford. Then the rain subsided. I found the old Mennonite Cemetery easily enough because of a former trip. Toby and I took a relief break prior to going into the cemetery. You should have seen Toby. When his paw first touched Oklahoma red clay soil, he kind of went, WTF is this? It was forward to the cemetery. I had another example of the hand of my Great-great Grandmother Agatha, or Granny Aggie as I have come to call her, guiding me. I could have easily gotten stuck, and almost did, on one the dirt roads surrounding the cemetery. It was as if Granny Aggie said, “Back up, you need to anyway” as my tires spun and spun in the red clay. Nonetheless, they kept spinning and eventually got me out. Thank you Granny Aggie. I could almost see her doing a giddy dance when I arrived. She’s FANTASTIC!
*home shortly after 5PM. Tomorrow, north to Goessel and Lehigh.
Hodgepodge leftovers for dinner.
TV entertainment for the evening…I’m so FUCKING entertained. TV is so worthless. So why do I keep trying to validate it in my home?
