Outcome: started the day just like I finished last night.  I’m good with that.

Toby and I out for a late-morning, 1-mile walk.  His continued inability to quickly respond to voice commands put him on the retractable for the last block.
*prior to the walk, Toby found either a lame bird in the neighbor’s high weeds, or it was a trapped bird in the high weeds.  Whatever the case, Toby made a quick kill of it.  As long as it’s a quick kill, to me, it’s just animals doing what animals do.  At least he doesn’t make a toy of it like a cat would do.  Anything Toby kills, he likes to take it into the back yard to finish eating it.
*while Toby was in the back yard enjoying his kill, I walked to the estate sale up the block.  There MIGHT be a few things in which I’d be interested.

 There has been no sign of Socks since last night when I let him out from his Cat House.  After several efforts of calling him, he finally showed up @ 19:45/7:45PM.
