Hammering started shortly after I woke up, thankfully. Otherwise I’d be pissed. I had a word with the contractor. He assured me the framing crew WILL get the word and won’t start until 9am.

Whole grain cereal + a banana + breakfast sandwich on a whole wheat English muffin.

Toby and I out for a pretty well behaved, late morning, 30min walk.

Not a horrible start, but things got worse. I ran some unfamiliar parts that SEEMED easy enough, but I ended up scrapping a part trying to do it run it mostly free-handed. I called the lead man to verify the scrap. Since working the part that way didn’t work, I spent considerable time fashioning a shop-aid. Just before I got my shop-aid to work, the lead man returned with the paperwork, verified the scrapped part, then out of the kindness of his little pea-picking heart, attributed the scrap to machine failure rather than operator failure since the table shaper started shutting down on its own and I had already called it in with a workorder number. Such is the series of fortunate events. I finished the shift deburring.
