Thus, this ends this Bundesliga season.  Okay, the way I understand this is:

• München are champs for the 6th straight season

• München, Schalke, Hoffenheim, Dortmund, Leverkusen, Leipzig, and Stuttgart are all into the Europa Champions league.
• Köln is relegated

Okay, just chatted with my Fb brother in Kiel, Germany about the relegation process in the Bundesliga and clarified everything.  The last two teams on the table (Köln and Hamburger) are automatically relegated to 2 Bundesliga. The top two teams in 2 Bundesliga (Nürnberg and Düsseldorf) are automatically promoted to 1 Bundesliga.  The struggle comes with the third-place finishers both top and bottom.  So, it’s Wolfsburg (#16 in 1 Bundesliga) v Kiel (#3 in 2 Bundesliga) for a 2-game aggregate series in their respective stadiums.  If Wolfsburg wins, they stay in 1 Bundesliga.  If Kiel wins, they will be promoted to 1 Bundesliga.
*It’s all about the money.
