I honor you this day, and I honor every bit of you that resides in me.  I’m grateful for the strong German heritage you’ve provided. I look forward with eager anticipation to the great family reunion on the other side.  I offer you my undying love, honor, respect, and gratitude.

That I know as the fifth, should an enemy’s

Arrow come flying into the throng;
As bright as it might clash, I stem its power
Once I firmly fix my eye on it.

Interpretation: Home/heritage (Othilla) leads to strength of will (Rit).

1st check on all fur-kids

Outcome: worst night’s sleep ever!  I could not stay asleep.  My mind was racing over whether or not the room addition will be finished on time.  Not even the recliner helped this time.

Good morning chat with my love my fiancée
<>
Well hela, I sure burned the be-jezus out of the bottom of my lip with that hot bur last night @ work.

Call into contractor…feeling better

Electricians over to set up power from the temporary power pole to the house.  Turns out the owner of the electric company here, Bybee Electric, is owned by the son of a guy with whom I went to Jr. High School.  I was able to find my Hadley Jr. High School year book (1969) and showed him a picture of the owner’s father when he was in the 9th grade.  This guy liked it so much he took a picture of the picture in the yearbook.
*power was restored after an hour or so.  A few things needed to be reset.
*Othilla/Rit

A bowl of cereal and a banana while power was off
Two burritos from frozen after power was restored

Toby and I out for a better walk today; fairly well behaved, late morning/noon hour, 30min walk.
*cloudy, mild, stout south wind.

One more call into the Union plant chair @ Textron
Call into the District Union office for help
Textron plant chair returned my call.  I have $6 waiting for me at District.  I can imagine somebody pulled $6 out of their pocket to call it good.  I’m good with that.

Creamy Italian dressing

Once again there was more than enough to keep me busy on the table shaper; however, I just about got my ass kicked on the last order of 25 parts that were easily 8ft long, maybe upwards of 10ft.  I think I probably got close to if not a bit more than 8hrs turned-in.

Last check on all fur-kids.  Socks out from his house.  Socks back into his house.  Toby is camping out.

God/dess Meditation: Ziu
Ziu/Tyr, god of selflessness; of war & glory, one-handed god, sacrificial god, Sergeant at Arms at the Thing, enforcer of law & order, bravest of all gods; you chained the Fenris Wolf that threatened the worlds. We can’t do that, but we can do other things, some ordinary, others heroic. Remind us of your bravery and your sacrifice. Give us the courage and strength we need to fetter out own Fenris. Keep us mindful of our duties and help us keep our fears bound as tightly as you bound old Slaver Mouth. Thus doing, may we share in your glory by imitating you.  WE GIVE YOU MOST A HEART-FELT HAIL, ZIU, as we honor the Ziu that resides in us all!
