I honor you this day, and I honor every bit of you that resides in me.  I’m grateful for the strong German heritage you’ve provided. I look forward with eager anticipation to the great family reunion on the other side.  I offer you my undying love, honor, respect, and gratitude.

Life is lived at such a price

Rune Lesson: Wealth is essential in life.  It often times defines your status.  Wealth usually never comes easy.  Some are born into it, but the largest percentage of us have to work hard for what we have.  The Noble Virtue of Industriousness and the 12 Days of Yule says this:

The Noble Virtue of industriousness requires that we work hard in life. Be conscientious and meticulous in whatever labor you have placed before you. Always be diligent, energetic and devoted to your working life. Never sit back and take the easy way out in regards to your ability to create a lifestyle for yourself. No matter the lifestyle you choose, know that your elevation in life, or lack of it, may (but not always) be the direct result of your depth of diligence. Do the best you can, and know that your efforts have been suitably rewarded (C.Reimer/V.Elmersson).
Havamal 59
He should get up early, the man who has few workers,
And go about his work with thought;
Much he neglects, the man who sleeps-in in the mornings,
Wealth is half won by the vigorous (The Poetic Edda, Larrington (pg. 22).
Usually, but not always, once your status is achieved, there is calm.  It’s time to sit back, and enjoy!

Outcome: 7hrs of sleep with one wakeup.  I don’t use the term “blessed” very often, but it certainly fits:
*Toby at my bedside with a waggle tail when I simply, quietly, call his name.
*Lily all over me
*Jasmine waiting on me to get to the ancestors’ table.
*Socks, well, Socks is Socks.

God/dess Meditation: (alternate Frijastag) Heil to you, Forsizo, son of Paltar and Nanda!  You’re the god of justice, and reconciliation.  You sit in judgment of the right and wrong of all arguments.  We see you as god of the Thing.  We call out to you in our time of legal need.  We know that justice is a double-edged ax.  On the one side, if our argument is just, grant us the proper conclusion.  On the other side, if our argument is fraudulent, mete-out justice accordingly.  Whether in the court of legal proceedings or the court of public opinion, grant us the justice according to the rightness of our deeds.  WE GIVE YOU A MOST HEART-FELT HEIL, FORSIZO, as we honor the Forsizo that resides in us all!
