I honor you this day, and I honor every bit of you that resides in me.  I’m grateful for the strong German heritage you’ve provided. I look forward with eager anticipation to the great family reunion on the other side.  I offer you my undying love, honor, respect, and gratitude.

Elder Rune Summons:
Born of fire, born of ice
Life is lived at such a price
Elder Runes in your way
Advise the mortal man today
<>
Elder Rune: Wunjo: Joy, pasture, happiness attained with the fulfillment of a wish, the strong Clanic relationship, social contacts, family ties, Clanic solidarity, fellowship, happiness, optimism, realization of true will, social and domestic harmony, good cheer, new social relationships, Fridu attained within a secure setting, a bright attitude of Wodan exposed.
Conversely:
Sadness, disruption/breakdown in the Clanic relationship, questionable social contacts, loser, miserable, loneliness, shunning, weakened family/Clanic ties, social and domestic disharmony, the inability to attain a wish, strife, alienation, pessimism, failed social relationships, Fridu is challenged, the shadow/dark side of Wodan is exposed.

Armanen Rune Summons:
Born of fire, born of ice
Life is lived at such a price
Armanen Runes in your way
Advise the Spirit man today

Armanen Rune: Os:
Havamal 149:
The fourth one I know, when a foe has tied up

My arms and hands;
The fetters fall from my leg, when I chant that song,
And off my hands the ropes come.

Freedom from bondage, the power of speech/song, mouth, arising, ashes, that which is offered, Wodanic energies, leadership, mouth, speech, the effort to convince, deed following the word, the Divine Breath, kingship, discussion, idea of that which is given/evolving, the spiritual power that is gained through speech, it is the breath of the world, its voice, strength that a person needs to rise-up in power, freedom from the bondage of the material world.
“Your spiritual force makes you free” (List, 51).

Rune Lesson: It’s as family/Clan stick together, is there freedom and leadership.  The most important thing to any Irminen is family.  Family is the central focus to life.  We are fulfilled within our respective Clans.  We also know family is just not here and now.  Family is past as well.  Our Clans, past and present, give us our freedom as we build upon the next generation of family.

God/dess Meditation: (alternate Wodanstag) Heimo, HEAR ME!  Gellanhorn’s god, son of nine mothers and whitest of all gods.  You’re the genetic link between the gods and humankind. From your home in Himilberg, your keen eyes and sharp ears guard Ensigart, the world of the gods. As you stand so alert for the approach of giants, remind us that we must also watch for our own encroaching evil. Let weakness, cowardice, lies and dishonor be barred from Ensiwëg, the Rainbow Bridge, leading to our heart’s abode. Be a model for vigilance, that we may rise to the best that is in us, and someday join the Noble Gods in their shining homes. WE GIVE YOU A MOST HEART-FELT HEIL, HEIMO, as we honor the Heimo that resides in us all!
