All things considered, it was a good 8hr shift. I stayed in layout/drill/trim to finish what I started yesterday.
*It was confirmed I DID get what they call the in-line promotion. I’ll go from an M09c to an M09b with a 56c raise, and learn the stretch-press on 1st shift, then back on 2nd soon enough
*Teiwaz/Laf
Scuttlebutt about 12hr shifts keep rearing its ugly head, but I was assured by my Super it wouldn’t happen in our shop for some time. There would be 2 12hr shifts on M-W and two 12hr shifts on Thurs-Sat. With my small amount of seniority, I would probably get the Thurs-Sat, 6PM-AM shift. However, if enough time goes by and enough new-hires come in, that could change.
