A seventeenth I know, through a wise law

To join two lives in love;
And everyone is willing, no virginal woman
Will leave me lightly after this.

Rune Lesson: Our home is SO important to us as a married couple. We live and dwell in lasting love. Germanic Heathenry, A Practical Guide, by Hjuka Coulter, speak well to the importance of our Heathen home:
For the Irminic family, the house and household are both the source and the ‘last bastion’ of true frith, hospitality (in all of its Heathen sense) and that which is good and whole. As they say, ‘there’s no place like home’, and in a good, Irminic home nothing else rings quite so true. While even many Irminen may not ever ponder just what the house/ home truly is or embodies, they still have a better understanding and appreciation for what that underlying truth is (once they do in fact pause to consider it) and beyond all else, can fully discern and appreciate the holiness which is the Irminic house and home (11).

God/dess Meditation: Tuesday/Ziu’s Day/Ziu/An: Tyr
Ziu, god of selflessness; of war & glory, one-handed god, sacrificial god, Sergeant at Arms at the Thing (re: Dienstag/Thing Day), enforcer of law & order, bravest of all gods; you chained the Fenris Wolf that threatened the worlds. We can’t do that, but we can do other things, some ordinary, others heroic. Remind us of your bravery and your sacrifice. Give us the courage and strength we need to fetter out own Fenris. Keep us mindful of our duties and help us keep our fears bound as tightly as you bound old Slaver Mouth. Thus doing, may we share in your glory by imitating you. WE GIVE YOU MOST A HEART-FELT HAIL, ZIU, as we honor the Ziu that resides in us all!
