I honor you this day, and I honor every bit of you that resides in me.  I’m grateful for the strong German heritage you’ve provided. I look forward with eager anticipation to the great family reunion on the other side.  I offer you my undying love, honor, respect, and gratitude.

Elder Rune Summons:
Born of fire, born of ice
Life is lived at such a price
Elder Runes in your way
Advise the mortal man today

Elder Rune: Hagalaz: The cosmic seed of potential, a sacred enclosure/shell, shaping, evolution, sacred protection within, holiness, a type of Godotuom; destruction/regeneration, evolution, destructive elements, unavoidable unpleasantness, pruning, potentially destructive but change will occur on its own given time.  Embrace the necessary destruction.  Don't rail against it.  Benefit from it.

Armanen Rune Summons:
Born of fire, born of ice
Life is lived at such a price
Armanen Runes in your way
Advise the Spirit man today

Armanen Rune: Thorn:
Havamal 148:
A third I take, when danger threatens,

To bind the enemies through magic:
Thus, I dull the steel of the furious opponent.
Like the staff, his sword does not cut anymore.

Donar, deflecting an opponent, making ineffective, protection from danger, enemies bound through magic, impermeable, an awakening, the power to turn, the divine will to act, the law of eternal reincarnation, power to become, Return, new emergence from what's apparently old and dried-up, formative power of the seed, the thunderbolt, targeting goals, activity and the phallus, mental telepathy, projection of the will, fierce protection, psychic attack & defense, penetrating time & space, a constant renewal of life in rebirth, Rune of opposing polarities and of joining opposites, binding of and victory over the enemy.
“Preserve your ego” (List, 51).

Rune Lesson: Hagalaz is both dangerous and beneficial.  Thorn is both dangerous and beneficial.  Hagalaz has the potential to destroy and feed.  Thorn can deflect and threaten.  Both Runes are problematic.  Which is to say, life brings both the bitter and the sweet.  We have to be ready to deal with both.  Not all that is bad is really bad.  Not all that is beneficial is totally beneficial.  This Rune combination is a realistic view of life.

1st check on all fur-kids: food, water, litterboxes, shelter.
<>
Outcome: 8hrs of sleep, 3 wakeups, and Lily loving all night.
<>
Wifey conversation.
<>
Breakfast: 2-eggs sunny side up, bacon, whole wheat toast with butter, and my 1st attempt at grits with cheese, seasoning and hot sauce, not horrible.
<>
Toby’s 10:45am feeding and insulin.
<>
Toby and I out for a late morning, perfectly behaved, 30min walk; nice COVID-19 distanced conversation with Preacher Gump.
*overcast, mild, slight breeze
<>
I spent several hours moving perennials, planting fresh bulbs, and pruning as needed.
<>
McDs for a late lunch/early dinner.
<>
Ordered a bike bag from Amazon in prep for more bicycle riding.

Jasmine has taken to laying across where I do my Rune readings.  Dare I pronounce her my Rune Kitty?  Dare I try to think this is somehow Frouwa in the flesh?
<>
Note to Self: Toby’s 11pm feeding and insulin.
<>
Last check on all fur-kids.

A bit of 50 Shades of Grey https://www.imdb.com/title/tt2322441/  There are those who don’t like this series of movies because they say it’s not a good representation of the BDSM lifestyle.  I understand that to a point, but to take the series in its totality, it shows how much control Anastasia, as a submissive, has in the relationship.  The dominant, Christian Grey, eventually comes to his semses BECAUSE of what Anastasia brings to the relationship.  I like this series A LOT!

Midnight nighty night.

God/dess Meditation: (alternate Frijastag) Heil to you, Forsizo, son of Paltar and Nanda!  You’re the god of justice, and reconciliation.  You sit in judgment of the right and wrong of all arguments.  We see you as god of the Thing.  We call out to you in our time of legal need.  We know that justice is a double-edged ax.  On the one side, if our argument is just, grant us the proper conclusion.  On the other side, if our argument is fraudulent, mete-out justice accordingly.  Whether in the court of legal proceedings or the court of public opinion, grant us the justice according to the rightness of our deeds.  WE GIVE YOU A MOST HEART-FELT HEIL, FORSIZO, as we honor the Forsizo that resides in us all!
