Havamal 149:
The fourth one I know, when a foe has tied up
My arms and hands;
The fetters fall from my leg, when I chant that song,
And off my hands the ropes come.

Rune Lesson: Naudiz is a tough one. Naudiz is about Need and Stress. Os is about freedom, speech and song. There is a strong need to be free. Sometimes stress is needed to be free. THAT’S IT! Freedom isn’t free. There is always a cost to be free. America was born out of the stress of war. Freedom was necessary because of a tyrannical English government. We are free because of we needed the stress to be so. There was no other way.

I’ve been feeding the squirrels since about last November. Since the growing season is well underway, I’ve determined that this last batch of peanut bags would be the last. Lately, the squirrels are as at-the-ready to be fed. Today, I used the last bag of peanuts. They’re on their own, now.

Do we REALLY have another kitty? There’s an orange tabby that’s been hanging around. Socks has been unable to chase him off. Lily has expressed her displeasure at the back door. Jasmine has expressed her interest at the back door. He’s not emaciated. He very friendly. I told wifey, if he stays, he’s going to have to be totally an outside kitty, perhaps fed in the garden shed. We are a magnet for needy kitties.

Dealing with my FSA is a pain in the ass. Dealing with the VA to get a receipt for the FSA is an even bigger pain in the ass.

Pulled out the potting soil from the garden shed, drilled holes in the bottom of the planters, filled the planters, and placed them in Agathagart. I hope to plant perennials in them, soon.

*floss
*Waterpik®
* plaque rinse
All-in-all, about 6 min.
