(Brachmond = Fallow Month)

Well hel…pre-sunrise…no warning and THUNDER-BOOM…Essie buries herself between my feet @ the computer.

Plans: ?????????????????

Picture
AM Meditation: Saturn’s Day/Saturday/Tag der Fruchtbarkeit, we meditate on
Frouwa and Ing-Frô :

Frouwa, most lovely of all goddesses; who could not love you?  Women as their own inner glory and highest attainment as the self-made woman, men for your beauty, passion and strength. Praise to you for the gift of life, and for the love that makes life worth living. Remind us always that it is the strong who love the best and the most, and that only the mighty can truly be gentle. Fill our lives with passion and lust that we may live our lives to the fullest. WE GIVE YOU MOST A HEART-FELT HEIL, FROUWA, as we honor the Frouwa that resides in us all!

Ing-Frô , you’re the Great God of Fridu (all-encompassing safety and protection), Ar (peace, good seasons), the good harvest and prosperity: you are indeed the god of this World. When the day to day wears us down remind us of pleasures and joys. Help us recall the wonderful excesses that brought our lives into being and which sustain the human spirit during good times and bad. Without you, there would be no life and
certainly little delight. Thank you, Ing-Frô, for the rushing life spirit and the eternal play of passions that make our lives fruitful.  WE GIVE YOU A MOST HEART-FELT HEIL, ING-FRÔ, as we honor the Ing-Frô that resides in all of us!

Elder Rune Summons:
Born of fire, born of ice
Life is lived at such a price
Elder Runes in your way
Advise the mortal man today

Picture
AM Elder Rune: Berkana (neutral) so it could be either:

Berkana (U): The feminine, Frija, All-Mother, birth processes, rejuvenation, growth, nurturing, caregiver, mature wisdom, recuperation, purification, the birch tree, birth, becoming, life changes, the kind Mother, Frija at her most Motherly, healing, bringing into being, a significant life passage.

Or

Berkana (R): Problems with relating to the feminine, the maternal influence and the feminine mysteries, void of growth and caring, deceit, degradation, immaturity, deterioration,  contamination, needlessly clinging, tough love Mothering, in need of Mothering, missing/ignoring a significant life passage.

Or both

Armanen Rune Summons:
Born of fire, born of ice
Life is lived at such a price
Armanen Runes in your way
Advise the Spirit man today

Picture
AM Armanen Rune: Tyr:
Havamal 156.
A twelfth one I sing, when I see through the brush
The hanged one swinging from the hemp;
He climbs down from the trunk, must tell me his tale
When I carve the Runes right.

Excitation, mysteries revealed, sacrifice, rebirth of the Sun god, fertility and/or destruction, generation, power, success, wisdom, duties fulfilled, art of concealment and hiding, rebirth into the light - life of the soul, the power to make situations turn completely around, wisdom, spiritual understanding, the power of regeneration, warrior strength, justice, balance, personal sacrifice of the father, resurrection/reincarnation/born again; “Do not fear anything, even dying cannot kill you.  Better to die than to be dead alive” (Gorsleben).

Interpretation: Birthing processes, for good or ill (Berkana) leading to fertility or destruction (Tyr)

Outcome: Toby out for a leash-less, 1-mile walk, but he totally violated on the backside of it, so back on the retractable he goes.

Essie wanted out on  her tether.

It’s a nice, overcast, rain-cooled morning.

Two loads of laundry

Gods, I actually made more of a breakfast than I could finish: 4 eggs scrambled, diced potatoes w/ onions and 3 Turkey/Italian sausages…had to put some away for later.

Separated recyclables and took them in: http://recyclewichita.org/
*I think I’m going to start hanging on to the aluminum can rather than give them to Pro-Kansas.  It’s one recyclable that can get me some money in return, and the recycling place is pretty convenient to my house.
*found a few plastic pots
*picked up four books at the book recycling area.
The Dragon Token, by Melanie Rawn
Sky Bowl, by Melanie Rawn
Stone of Farewell, by Tad Williams
Needful Things, by Stephen King

More storm clouds out west.

Post office
Bank
McDs for a lite lunch

Essie knows where to go when there’s thunder…between my feet!

End of 2nd extra time…still 1-1.  On to penalty kick shootout.
Brazil 3 pks, Chile 2 pks…Brazil advances, Chile out.
*EXCELLENT goal keeping during PKs

Columbia v Uruguay
Colombia 2-0 Uruguay

Dillons
*with half a tank of petrol and .20 in gas points, I’ll fill up when it’s more necessary.

Walgreen’s
*GREAT potting soil find…I got three bags.

Tacos Mexican…not bad at all.

Potted a plant I’ve been rooting

This COULD BE the perfekt evening for the 12th Warrior for the 113th time.
*I dunno…might be too tired.

GOOD/ENCOURAGING messaging with Mt Hope…FINALLY!
GOOD messaging with Jamie
GOOD conversation with neighbor across the street.

Okay, no 13th Warrior…nothing else but bed…gotta hit the yard early tomorrow.

PM Meditation: Nirdu, brother-husband to Nirda, parents of the Wanâ ; Ing-Frô and the Frouwa, beloved god of harbors and seas close to land; help us to remember the cargoes of wealth that float to our doors daily from the wonderful Universe in which we live. Though our misfortunes may rise and fall like the tides, the chance of prosperity, like the eternal sea brimming with fish, is still there. Like the salt-sea spray, awaken us to the possibilities that surround us, so that our nets may be cast wide and return full of life’s gifts. WE GIVE YOU A MOST HEART-FELT HEIL, NIRDU, as we honor the Nirdu that resides in us all!
