I honor you this day, and I honor every bit of you that resides in me.  I’m grateful for the strong German heritage you’ve provided. I look forward with eager anticipation to the great family reunion on the other side.  I offer you my undying love, honor, respect, and gratitude.
•           no doubt the ones who brought the family over from Europe.

Elder Rune Summons:
Born of fire, born of ice
Life is lived at such a price
Elder Runes in your way
Advise the mortal man today

Elder Rune: Isa: Ice: dormancy: a calming, self-preservation, self-centeredness resulting in a lack of change, reflective influence, stilling effect: self-control: the concentrated self: ego, das Ich (the unified, whole, principle or force), the composite plurality of Ich, be still and gain control of the Self (in all its forms): grounding, a lowering of vibration levels, patience, frigidity, and the loss of momentum.

Armanen Rune Summons:

Life is lived at such a price
Armanen Runes in your way
Advise the Spirit man today

Havamal 146:
The first one promises to help generously

In sorrow, sickness and pain;
In eternal change, man goes forth
From death to new creation.

Generous help, luck, eternal change, forward motion, binding, life/death/life, new creation, property, to grow, to wander, to destroy, to shred, guidance, Father, potential change reflected in a beginning; preface of that which is becoming, being and passing away; procreation, creative father principle, Alle-Vater principle.  primal Fire, the power of spirit and change as well as the power of creativity, the Divine Masculine Principle, success, pure, generated fire that acts creatively in love, will that spares manifestation down to the material levels, necessity of change.
“Generate your luck and you will have it” (List, 49).
*H1R1; Halbdutzend 1, root 1, Irminsul’s root of creation
<>
Rune Lesson: Calm, the slowing down, raises the possibilities generous help.  The idea that we preserve ourselves in our calmest state, welcomes eternal change.  Understanding that we don’t always have to be ZOOM-ZOOM, allows us to realize we CAN have forward motion, as long as we aren’t in a rush to do it.

Toby’s 9am meds

I didn’t know my father well.  I remember him going from walking with a cane, to immobilization in a wheelchair, to death in the hospital.  I remember we spent SO MUCH TIME at the VA here in Wichita then over to St. Joseph when he became too much for the VA to handle.  Sure, when he died in October ‘63, I was greatly affected negatively.  He was my first recollection of death.  Death scared the shit out of this 9yr old boy.  Even more so, when John Kennedy died November ‘63, all those fears and memories came flooding back.

The breakfast build:
Hand-shredded hashbrowns
Two slices of pepper-jack cheese
Four slices of turkey bacon
Three eggs sunny side up

Toby and I out for his first walk to Meeka Park in MONTHS!  Why?  Remember, when Toby was blinded from cataracts, sidewalks told him he was safe.  One block east of Meeka Park, there was no sidewalk, so I just didn’t want to take the chance.  It amounted to a 4-block, well behaved, walk.
*partly cloudy, very warm, south wind.

God/dess Meditation: Sunday, Sunna’s Day, Sunna, goddess of the Sun:
Greetings to you Sunna, in all your feminine, fertile glory; Lamp of Wodan, newly risen! Hail to you who is the counterpart to Mano, male aspect of the Moon.  You have shown on all our ancestors, you shine on us, and you will yet shine on our decedents yet unborn. Share with us some of your light, your energy, your power, so that we might better fight our battles and attain our goals. WE GIVE YOU A MOST HEART-FELT HEIL SUNNA, as we honor the Sunna that resides in us all!
