Elder Rune Summons:
Born of fire, born of ice
Life is lived at such a price
Elder Runes in your way
Advise the mortal man today

Elder Rune: Gebo: The mystical union of gift and giver, repay gift for gift, generosity, a fair exchange between people or gods and the Luck that accompanies it; freely exchanged, obligations, contracts, relationships, sometimes sexual, sacrifice, and hospitality, do not take more than we are willing to give, the voluntary sacrifice of resources.

Armanen Rune Summons:
Born of fire, born of ice
Life is lived at such a price
Armanen Runes in your way
Advise the Spirit man today

Armanen Rune: Hagal:
Havamal 152:
A seventh I learned, if the hall is burning

With fire around bench and comrades;
However bright it burns, I will banish the blaze,
As soon I sing the magic chant.

To actively protect/enclose/destroy, danger brought under control, introspection, awareness, eternal change, the Mother of all Runes, the cohesion of the world, die (pronounced ‘dee’ German for ‘the’) Alle Mutter, Frija, that which cares and maintains, protects, and preserves; that which is motherly; wisdom, harmony, salvation, blessing, protects from hail and fire, eternal change, caring and maintaining principle in the Universe, Higher Self, the perfect human being, Divine within, the Rune of humanity, married to the World, Rune of enclosure but contains a potential for growth, builder/architect of the worlds, the macrocosm of the world itself.
“Harbor the All in yourself, and you will control the All” (List, 54).

Interpretation: Sacrifice (Gebo) brings active protection (Hagal).

1st check on all fur-kids: food, water, litterboxes, shelter.
<>
Outcome: 7hrs of solid sleep.
<>
Toby woke me up barking like crazy!  It was my tree service guys.  I had no idea they were coming.  Checked email…nothing.  Checked home voice mail…nothing.  Checked cellphone message, there it was, a 7:30 message saying they were on their way.  WTF?  A better notice would’ve been preferred.
*a necessity for safety and insurance.
<>
Woooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooow…
<>
Toby and I out for a late morning, well behaved, 30min walk.
*mildly warm, sunny, north breeze.
<>
4 trees topped and stump from the previous tree work ground down…2pm.
*Gebo/Hagalaz!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
*there was ONE tragedy, however.  Further comment not for public consumption, only for posterity.

It was one extreme to the other at work.  Nothing on the bag press.  There was no one in routers on 1st shift; no one in routers for 2nd shift, and a WHOLE bunch of orders from which to choose.  I settled in for the long haul, but when a simple hand-forming order came in that I COULD run, knowing the allotted time was very generous (800+ min for 80 parts) I jumped on it!
<>
Last check on all fur-kids.
<>
Fell asleep in the recliner.  Wifey is cuddle with Goose tonight.

We give thanks to the Great Goddess Nirda, Goddess of the land, of soil, and growing things.  Goddess, too, of the scythe and of the sacrifice.  Beautiful and terrible.  Wise in Your power.  We praise you…HEIL NIRDA, Mother of the Wanâ, sister-wife to Nirdu.  HEIL NIRDA Divine Queen! HEIL!  HEIL! HEIL!

God/dess Meditation: (alternate Manostag) Nirdu, brother-husband, to Nirda, parents of the Wanâ; Ing-Frô and the Frouwa, beloved god of harbors and seas close to land; help us to remember the cargoes of wealth that float to our doors daily from the wonderful Universe in which we live. Though our misfortunes may rise and fall like the tides, the chance of prosperity, like the eternal sea brimming with fish, is still there. Like the salt-sea spray, awaken us to the possibilities that surround us, so that our nets may be cast wide and return full of life’s gifts. WE GIVE YOU A MOST HEART-FELT HEIL, NIRDU, as we honor the Nirdu that resides in us all!
