I honor you this day, and I honor every bit of you that resides in me.  I’m grateful for the strong German heritage you’ve provided. I look forward with eager anticipation to the great family reunion on the other side.  I offer you my undying love, honor, respect, and gratitude.

A ninth one I sing, when dangers at sea forces me

To protect my ship from the stormy waves;

And I cradle the waves to sleep.

Interpretation: Strength (Thurisaz) leads to confidence (Ar).
*It is through the strength of our engagement (Thurisaz) I remain confident (Ar) during this time of our inability to communicate.

1st check on all fur-kids
<>
Outcome: Fell asleep last night in the leather recliner, got up @ midnight, up again circa 8AM, so probably a wee bit more than 8hrs of sleep.
<>
Inspected the dame of Toby’s rage last night…amazing what he can do when pissed.
<>
Breakfast: omelet with ham-n-cheese, hashbrowns and a sourdough muffin with grape jelly.
<>
Still no sign of Socks this morning.
<>
My Sorcha My Love My Fiancée managed a call!  Yup, internet or cell phones is going to be an issue in hillbilly land.  I don’t know how she’s going to do it.  It may be a week before she has any service.
<>
Toby literally tore siding away from the back door when he was outside.  Anymore, any kind of fireworks set him off, no matter how distant.  I’m just going to have to watch him more closely.
<>
2 loads of laundry
<>
Napped
<>
Toby and I out for an early evening, 25min walk.  As long as I was with him, he reacted to fireworks, but kept looking back at me, then carried-on.
*sunny, warm, no breeze
<>
Before I left for my Niece’s, I made sure to have on distracting noise.  I had TVs fore and aft, with music amidships-port.  I had sufficient lighting, too.
<>
EXCELLENT time at my nieces with all sorts of fireworks supplied by three families; niece, nephew (in from Great Bend), and me.  WHAT A BLAST…literally!
*now, I went armed with fireworks, and came home with early birthday gifts; totally unexpected.
*meal portion containers
*meal portion plates
*Tree-of-life shower curtain
*Ghost CD
LOVE THEM SO MUCH!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
May the gods and ancestors show them favor.
<>
Toby and Essie did fine.  When I saw Essie in the man cave, not hiding, I knew things were sufficient for her and Toby’s well-being in spite of the fireworks.
<>
It’s lonely, now, without regular communication with My Love My Sorcha My Fiancée
<>
Last check on all fur-kids.
*I think my Spirit knew Socks was about to come home.  I was mindlessly and pointlessly screwing around with my TV after I got home from my nieces.  It was after midnight for sure; maybe 1PM or so, I went onto the porch to move a couple of wreaths so if Socks came home, his comfort would not be hampered.  Typically, over the last couple days, I called out for Socks, AND THERE HE WAS!  MY SOCKS IS HOME AND SAFE!!!!
<>
Okay, now sleep will be better knowing all fur-kids are safe.
<>
Nighty-night

God/dess Meditation: Ostara, trustworthy goddess; husband to Brego; the adherent god of scalds, keeper of the golden apples of youth and eternal life, keep us young inside. When we are starving for laughter, hungry for the lightness that comes with having few years on our shoulders, slip us one of those gleaming fruits that we may see the world through youthful eyes. Let springtime be in our steps, love in our hearts and a song on our lips. Change us to the core! Fill us with optimism and dreams for the future. WE GIVE YOU MOST A HEART-FELT HEIL, OSTARA, as we honor the Ostara that resides in us all!
