Visited sister @ the nursing home. She remains completely out-of-it. I sat there stroking what remains of her hair, telling her I loved her. She was looking right at me and made a moving effort like she was wanting a hug. I told her of a WONDERFUL family reunion to which she was heading. I told her to look for mom when the time comes and let her escort you across. I told her it was okay to go. We would miss her, but it was okay to go. She went back to sleep. OMGs, I cried like a baby. There is hardly any life left in her. I left my name and number with the nurse’s desk as an emergency contact to be notified of any changes, which of course has to be approved by niece and she/he nephew.
