Paid off my small, pesky student loan I’ve had for YEARS with along defuncted local college. This was paid via a refund check from my home insurance as I’m switching from Farmers to State Far, with several hundred left over for savings. This will add $180 to the budget.

VA surgery consult was perhaps the most amazing thing I ever experienced out there. I went in with these two “things” sticking out from my navel, which became a full-blown, in-office surgery. The doc said either we can make an appointment for later, or we can tend to this now. I opted for now. He explained how, why, and what this bit of leftover stuff was, but all I knew was I’ve wanted it gone for some time. Now it is, and I’m getting more time off from work.
