It was a rather mixed bag at the VA podiatrist’s office.  He was more than supportive of the boots that I got from work.  Then, he proceeded to tell me my left toenail had become disconnected.  Long story short, he ended up removing my entire toenail without anesthetic.  While there was no feeling at that portion of the toe, he was satisfied with chance of toenail recovery because of what he saw underneath the nail.
