Brave squirrels and birds getting fed today.

Since I didn’t get any postal service yesterday, I had to brave the cold and ice for a trip to the post office to make sure my rather late mortgage payment was going to make it in time. It will.

Started watch Vikings on the History Channel/Sling-TV…will finish it later
*I forgot I can watch this on Sling-TV. I kept trying, unsuccessfully, to log onto my online account with the History Channel to Chromecast it. Watching it on Sling is much better.

I keep putting straw in Toby’s dog house in an effort to feel better about having to leave him outside in this bitter cold.
*Relief! My brother has agreed to let him in the back door later this evening. May the gods and ancestors always shine favorably on my brother.

My Chewy.com order is already here!

At work, I started on the table shaper. The lead man from the stretch press area came over asking me to fix what my 1st colleague didn’t do right. I got no time for it, bit it was an “L1” so it had to be done, which I did. The table shaper was making all sorts of odd noises, so I opted to call it in and worked out in layout. When maintenance showed up, they discovered that someone turned off the oil supply to the spindle. So no matter that the lever was open to oil the spindle, there was no oil going through it.
<>
I think my brother forgot about letting Toby inside.
<>
Last check on all fur-kids.
Socks out briefly, then ready to go back into his house. I’m glad I often check his climate control devices. One of his space heaters bit the dust. I considered running out to some 24hr store, but opted to pull the space heater from my bedroom. It’s pretty chilly in Socks’ house right now. I’m not sure if it will do much good, but at least it will give Socks something with which to cuddle.

Donar, Son of Wodan and Erda, husband to Sibba with the Golden Hair, wielder of Malant and Great God of thunder, thunder forth in our lives. When we would hold back, encourage us to advance. When we would be weak, hearten us be strong. When we would shun life’s pleasures, inspire our appetites for that which is lusty and good. Excite our growth from strength to strength; teach us, elder brother, how to throw our own Hammer, and slay the giants who oppose our will. WE GIVE YOU A MOST HEART-FELT HEIL, DONAR, as we honor the Donar that resides in us all!
