Toby had a REALLY good checkup today. Recall at the end of last year, after he had his attack of diabetic ketoacidosis, his glucose was 600 and he was placed on 10 units of insulin twice daily. Next checkup it was 400+ and his units of insulin was raised to 15. Last checkup was 200+ with insulin units increased to 17 units and food coordinated with insulin times. Today’s checkup, his glucose level was at 155!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! His veterinary is VERY pleased. PLUS, his weight before this whole thing started was 50lbs, reduced to 41lbs, up to 43lbs up, now 44lbs+. Toby’s a real trooper!

I still don’t know what to think about my new position. I purposed to go into it today with a new attitude, determined to make the best out of this situation, but such was not to be the case. There was simply no work. It showed up later. If nothing else, I know I have the prep work down-pat. Now all I have to do is to get the same grasp on the rest of the 127,000 things that need to be memorized.
