I honor you this day, and I honor every bit of you that resides in me.  I’m grateful for the strong German heritage you’ve provided. I look forward with eager anticipation to the great family reunion on the other side.  I offer you my undying love, honor, respect, and gratitude.

Elder Rune Summons:
Born of fire, born of ice
Life is lived at such a price
Elder Runes in your way
Advise the mortal man today
<>
Elder Rune: Isa: Ice: dormancy: a calming, self-preservation, self-centeredness resulting in a lack of change, reflective influence, stilling effect: self-control: the concentrated self: ego, das Ich (the unified, whole, principle or force), the composite plurality of Ich, be still and gain control of the Self (in all its forms): grounding, a lowering of vibration levels, patience, frigidity, and the loss of momentum.

Armanen Rune Summons:
Born of fire, born of ice
Life is lived at such a price
Armanen Runes in your way
Advise the Spirit man today

Armanen Rune: Not:
Havamal 153:
An eighth is mine, to all the Folk

Useful to know in their suffering;
Where hatred rises-up between man and man,
This I can settle fast.

Distress, suffering, compulsion of fate, separation, confrontation, strife settled, understanding suffering, settled calm, mind over matter, necessity of fate, misery and death, change of luck as necessity, decision of the Wurtâ, Wurt/Urlag paid-for, cause-effect relations, capability to restructure Wurt/Urlag, That which cannot be averted, the Ur-law that is active in every creature, stress, karmic debt, karmic need, but with outlook for change of karma, banishing ill fortune by means of accepting karma and karmic law, Skuld, Divine justice that balances.
“Use your fate, do not strive against it” (List, 55).

Rune Lesson: There are times, just like this morning, I REALLY have to dig to find any way two Runes work together.  Part of this interpretation for Isa no doubt comes from an old Irminenschaft friend.
The many layers of this actually work well together.  Through calm, through dormancy, through self-preservation, we learn to find our Center, our grounding (Isa).  Grounding is what prepares us for the difficult times (Not), and they will no doubt happen.  Grounding can fight off most any difficulty.  Grounding may not eliminate the threat, but it will enable us to understand what we’re going through.

1st check on all fur-kids: food, water, litterboxes, shelter.
<>
Outcome: almost 8hrs of sleep, two wakeups, and WONDERFUL Lily snuggling.
<>
Wifey conversation.
*further comments not for public consumption.
<>
A banana + a sausage egg and cheese open faced breakfast sandwich on whole wheat toast.
<>
Toby and I out for a perfectly behaved, late morning, 30min walk.
*sunny, almost cold, fairly stout north wind.
<>
I sent ISO a Toronto FC cap.  Fuck Canada won’t send it out of their own country.  SO, I collaborated with my Toronto FC Fb friend to come up with an option on Amazon.  Fun!
<>
Note to Self: Toby’s feeding an insulin.
<>
Wifey to post office.
<>
Leftover pasta + a garden salad for lunch + a 2-scoop chocolate sundae.
<>
Toby’s Sci-Diet ordered from Chewey.com
<>
My usual work partner went home very early.  He can be an ass. The one I worked with was more of a teacher, so things seemed to go better.
<>
Last check on all fur-kids.
<>
Note to Self: Toby’s feeding and insulin.
<>
2am nighty night.

God/dess Meditation: Ziu
Ziu, god of selflessness; of war & glory, one-handed god, sacrificial god, Sergeant at Arms at the Thing, enforcer of law & order, bravest of all gods; you chained the Fenris Wolf that threatened the worlds. We can’t do that, but we can do other things, some ordinary, others heroic. Remind us of your bravery and your sacrifice. Give us the courage and strength we need to fetter out own Fenris. Keep us mindful of our duties and help us keep our fears bound as tightly as you bound old Slaver Mouth. Thus doing, may we share in your glory by imitating you.  WE GIVE YOU MOST A HEART-FELT HAIL, ZIU, as we honor the Ziu that resides in us all!
