I honor you this day, and I honor every bit of you that resides in me.  I’m grateful for the strong German heritage you’ve provided. I look forward with eager anticipation to the great family reunion on the other side.  I offer you my undying love, honor, respect, and gratitude.
* no doubt the ones who brought the family over from Europe.

Elder Rune Summons:
Born of fire, born of ice
Life is lived at such a price
Elder Runes in your way
Advise the mortal man today
<>
Elder Rune: Pertho: Dice cup, issues concerning: the lucky roll of the dice, questions of luck, the consideration of Wurt/Urlag (the ordeal of Humankind), the Wurtâ; Urda (that which was), Werdanda (that which is becoming) and Sculd (that which is owed), the realization of hidden potential, interwoven yet independent Wurt, good fellowship and happiness, secrets revealed, the collective consciousness, the Well of Knowledge for true growth.
Conversely:
The presence of negative Wurt, an unlucky roll of the dice, bad luck, secrets remaining secret, delusions, fantasies, megalomania, outside the collective/individual consciousness, out of touch with reality, negative forces set in motion, that which is unknowable, the need to deal with uncertainty, unpleasant contractions of birth pains, secrets remaining secret, take no chances.

Armanen Runes in your way
Advise the Spirit man today

Armanen Rune: Fa:
Havamal 146:
The first one promises to help generously

In sorrow, sickness and pain;
In eternal change, man goes forth
From death to new creation.

Generous help, luck, eternal change, forward motion, binding, life/death/life, new creation, property, to grow, to wander, to destroy, to shred, guidance, Father, potential change reflected in a beginning; preface of that which is becoming, being and passing away; procreation, creative father principle, Alle-Vater principle.  primal Fire, the power of spirit and change as well as the power of creativity, the Divine Masculine Principle, success, pure, generated fire that acts creatively in love, will that spares manifestation down to the material levels, necessity of change.
“Generate your luck and you will have it” (List, 49).

Rune Lesson: The concept of luck is HUGE within Heathenry.  More times than not we make our own, coupled with a bit of Wyrd.  As is said in the 13th Warrior, “Luck often enough will save a man, if his courage holds.”  With good luck generated (Pertho), generous help (Fehu) will respond accordingly.  The two seems to work together quite well.

Lazy morning…

I researched a bit about Type 1 diabetes and hair loss in dogs with no definite results.  Yesterday, I noticed Toby shedding.  This morning, wifey said he needed a good brushing.  OMGs I brushed A LOT of hair off Toby.  Could his Type 1 diabetes be the cause?  That’s a question for the veterinary on Monday.

2-egg omelet with sweet peppers, green onions and cheese + hashbrowns for a late breakfast.
<>
Note to Self; Toby’s 12:15pm feeding and insulin.
<>
Toby had zero energy in his tank to finish an early afternoon, 1-block roundy.  I took him home to finish my own 6-block roundy.  A neighbor stopped to ask where Toby was.  It’s nice that neighbors are concerned.
*partly cloudy, mild, no breeze.

Filed taxes via Turbo Tax; holy shit that’s always nerve-racking.  Hopefully Luck (Pertho) and generous help (Fa) reigns supreme.

God/dess Meditation: (alternate Sunnastag) Paltar, you're the blameless god, gloriously shining god, rising god, restoration god, husband to the faithful Nanda, beloved son of Wodan and Frija.  Just as you restore Mittigart after Godotuom, restore us after we experience our own Godotuoms of life.  Let your goodness and your reconciliation smooth our paths on Earth. When our days here are over, light up death’s darkness with the promise of rebirth. Help us to avoid evil and seek the good. Inspired by your example, we will keep our reputations spotless that our lives be proclaimed a victory of the Spirit, and our leaving his life a tragedy. WE GIVE YOU A MOST HEART-FELT HEIL, PALTAR, as we honor the Paltar that resides in us all!
