11th Day of Yule – Remembering the Noble Virtue of Perseverance
Life is filled with personal challenges.  We struggle on a daily basis with various forces around us.  Sometimes we may ask ourselves, is it really worth it?  Perseverance is the determined, continual action in the face of adversity. If you give up, it’s game-over. It really is simple, isn’t it? No matter what you are doing, no matter the challenge, see it to its conclusion. Even if you try and fail, realize that the only real failure is not trying. Failure is evidence that someone has tried. Success is failure defeated (Vaygar Ingvald Elmersson).

Toby and I out for an aggravating 30min walk.  First, he continued to be lackadaisical to common voice commands.  Second, when he attacked the kitty he mauled a few weeks ago, that was it!  He spent most of the walk on the retractable, and may very well spend all walks on the retractable for the near future.  I’ve spent YEARS trying to train him on voice commands so he can enjoy a leash-less.  Evidently, he doesn’t appreciate it.  I just cannot seem to shake Mr. Opportunist.

Once again, I made another mom-memory; her sandwich spread including bologna (I use turkey bologna), pickles, eggs and mustard.  My other adjustment was Freddy’s Sauce instead of mustard, and jalapenos added.  I ground the ingredients just like mom did, with a hand grinder.

God/dess Meditation: Forsizo; Heil to you, Forsizo, son of Paltar and Nanda!  We call out to you in our time of legal need.  You’re the god of justice and reconciliation.  We know that justice is a double-edged ax.  On the one side, if our argument is just, grant us the proper conclusion.  On the other side, if our argument is fraudulent, mete-out justice accordingly.  Whether in the court of legal proceedings or the court of public opinion, grant us the justice according to the rightness of our deeds.  WE GIVE YOU A MOST HEART-FELT HEIL, FORSIZO, as we honor the Forsizo that resides in us all!
