Toby and I out for a late afternoon walk. Ya know, I just gotta keep Toby away from a neighbor’s dogs. One was luckily tethered as was Toby. She came out to check. Everything was fine. The other, we encountered later in the walk, being walked by her husband. Two dogs, nose-to-nose, tails up, no problem. It was that split second, Toby and the other dog were on each other. He pulled off his dog and I pulled back Toby. That will be the last time anything like that happens to Toby.

Ya know, I think my circle of friends is dwindling. I haven’t done too much over this holiday break. Family is solid, and I’m ÜBER grateful for that. I don’t go to church. I don’t do bars. It seems I’ve lost the ability to meet new people. I don’t know of too many people with whom I have much in common. Sometimes I’m okay in my loneliness, sometimes not. I suppose when I get ABSOLUTELY sick-n-tired of being alone I might do something about it. Until then it is what it is.
