7th Day of Yule – Remembering the Noble Virtue of Hospitality
The noble virtue of hospitality represents a special relationship between an invited guest and host, where the host provides the guest with necessary goodwill.  Welcome those into your house and your life as you can. In today’s world, we cannot trust everyone with whom we come in contact; however, we can exercise caution and be as welcoming as possible. When anyone is welcomed into your home ensure they want for nothing.  Lavish upon them food, drink and comfort.  Equally, be a proper & respectful guest when welcomed.

Family front yard time…we haven’t had one of those for a while

Toby and I out for a 30min walk split-up into to 15min walks.  The cat that Toby mauled a while back had sheltered in some bushes.  I took Toby home and came back armed with food in case it needed any.  Its food bowl was sufficient, but now it’s overflowing.  Toby and I finished the walk.

The silver garland on the porch has become weather-worn.  I removed the inoperable lights from an old garland I wasn’t using, and replaced the silver garland…better.
<>
I called around to find an aluminum can recycler.  I only found one open, and it just so happened to be much closer than the one I’ve been using.  Methinks it will become me recycler of choice.  Nice people, very helpful.  I got just under $30.
<>
West Kellogg Wal-Mart (unfortunately) for new recycling containers.  Since I was there, I also picked up pet food and supplies.
<>
BK for lunch; WONDERFUL conversation with Tara, a manager.
<>
Friday’s newspaper advertised a Lighting of the Menorah @ the Hebrew Congregation Synagogue.  I was looking forward to SO much but came away SO disappointed. Visitors outnumbered members more than 5 to 1.  Yet, I remained respectful and inquisitive, refusing to let my disappointment show.

God/dess Meditation: Nirdu, brother-husband to Nirda, parents of the Wanâ; Ing-Frô and the Frouwa, beloved god of harbors and seas close to land; help us to remember the cargoes of wealth that float to our doors daily from the wonderful Universe in which we live. Though our misfortunes may rise and fall like the tides, the chance of prosperity, like the eternal sea brimming with fish, is still there. Like the salt-sea spray, awaken us to the possibilities that surround us, so that our nets may be cast wide and return full of life’s gifts. WE GIVE YOU A MOST HEART-FELT HEIL, NIRDU, as we honor the Nirdu that resides in us all!
