5th Day of Yule – Remembering the Noble Virtue of Honor
The Noble Virtue of Honor is the ability to hold your head high in all situations. It’s the adherence to what is right or to a conventional standard of conduct
. To live an honorable life is the most valuable of goals.  We set standards for ourselves and live according to those standards. We are not encouraged to set low standards, rather, set high standards and work toward them continually, even behind closed doors (Vaygar Ingvald Elmersson).

I honor you this day, and I honor every bit of you that resides in me.  I’m grateful for the strong German heritage you’ve provided. I look forward with eager anticipation to the great family reunion on the other side.  I offer you my undying love, honor, respect, and gratitude.
* no doubt the ones who brought the family over from Europe.

Elder Rune Summons:
Born of fire, born of ice
Life is lived at such a price
Elder Runes in your way
Advise the mortal man today
<>
Picture
Elder Rune: Teiwaz: The God Ziu, one handed god of war and honor, valor, uncompromising in judgments, personal management, a higher rationality, dedication to an ideal, balanced, victory in conflict, the spiritual warrior, self-sacrifice, spiritual birth/rebirth, motivated by a sense of justice, law and order, bravery, honesty, even-handedness, warfare as a part of evolution, mental and emotional order.
Conversely:
Outside the favor of Ziu; the god of honor, dishonor, without victory in conflict, injustice, imbalance, mismanagement, failure, unbalanced, dishonesty, naiveté compromised judgments, defeat, warfare without purpose, disengagement with the sacrificial Self, spiritual death, legal dilemma, disorder/chaos, cowardice, the inability to fight for what’s right, void of the will to succeed, double standards.

This I know as an eleventh, when

I accompany my dear friend into combat;
I sing it into the shield, so that he triumphs in battle
And that luck and happiness surrounds him always.

Triumph, surrounded with luck and happiness, victory, success, gain, well-being, victorious and happy, into the fray, blessing from above, successful fight, achieved goal, school, and salvation by light, inspiration, soul, and power of the sun, inspiration, soul, life force, wholeness, reliable success, healing, good luck, spiritual completion, and the path of the soul, Rune of the spiritual ray of inspiration, wisdom, and illumination.
“The creative spirit must conquer” (List, 57).

Interpretation: Bravery (Teiwaz) leads to triumph (Sig).

God/dess Meditation: Paltar, you're the blameless god, gloriously shining god, rising god, restoration god, husband to the faithful Nanda, beloved son of Wodan and Frija.  Just as you restore Mittigart after Godotuom, restore us after we experience our own Godotuoms of life.  Let your goodness and your reconciliation smooth our paths on Earth. When our days here are over, light up death’s darkness with the promise of rebirth. Help us to avoid evil, and seek the good. Inspired by your example, we will keep our reputations spotless that our lives be proclaimed a victory of the Spirit, and our leaving his life a tragedy. WE GIVE YOU A MOST HEART-FELT HEIL, PALTAR, as we honor the Paltar that resides in us all!
