Good @ home for lunch; there was someone in my driveway. I approached to find out he was a gas meter repairman for the neighbor. He said he knocked on my door to no avail. Little wonder why porch cats and Essie were nowhere to be found. I imagined that Toby sounded his alarm and freaked out Essie who went into hiding deeply. Nonetheless, Toby was glad to be outside for the afternoon.

Since it was on the way home, I stopped in at Hillside Feed and Seed (Hillside Feed and Seed on Meridian St., go figure) for a couple more straw bales for the porch cats to use as hide-behinds. There's is a bit more expensive than Hupp Hardware, but I just couldn't argue with the convenience.

THERE'S ESSIE!!!! I scolded her for not coming when I called her at lunch. She just looked at me and smiled. She was glad to go out in the back yard until sunset.
