August/Arnmond 23, 2014 Saturn’s Day/Day of Fertility/Tag der Fruchtbarkeit

(Arnmond = Harvest Month)

Not much traffic in Wichita @ 6:30AM as Toby and I go to McDs for 1st breakfast.
*WTF am I doing up?

Plans: house stuff

Picture
AM Meditation: Saturn’s Day/Saturday/Tag der Fruchtbarkeit, we meditate on Frouwa and Ing-Frô :
Frouwa, most lovely of all goddesses; who could not love you?  Women as their own inner glory and highest attainment as the self-made woman, men for your beauty, passion and strength. Praise to you for the gift of life, and for the love that makes life worth living. Remind us always that it is the strong who love the best and the most, and that only the mighty can truly be gentle. Fill our lives with passion and lust that we may live our lives to the fullest. WE GIVE YOU MOST A HEART-FELT HEIL, FROUWA, as we honor the Frouwa that resides in us all!

Ing-Frô , you’re the Great God of Fridu (all-encompassing safety and protection), Ar (peace, good seasons), the good harvest and prosperity: you are indeed the god of this World. When the day to day wears us down remind us of pleasures and joys. Help us recall the wonderful excesses that brought our lives into being and which sustain the human spirit during good times and bad. Without you, there would be no life and
certainly little delight. Thank you, Ing-Frô, for the rushing life spirit and the eternal play of passions that make our lives fruitful.  WE GIVE YOU A MOST HEART-FELT HEIL, ING-FRÔ, as we honor the Ing-Frô that resides in all of us!

Elder Rune Summons:
Born of fire, born of ice
Life is lived at such a price
Elder Runes in your way
Advise the mortal man today

Picture
AM Elder Rune:
Gebo (irreversible): The mystical union of gift and giver, repay gift for gift, a fair exchange between people or gods and the Luck that accompanies it; freely exchanged, contracts, relationships, sometimes sexual, sacrifice, and hospitality, do not take more than we are willing to give, the voluntary sacrifice of resources.

Armanen Rune Summons:
Born of fire, born of ice
Life is lived at such a price
Armanen Runes in your way
Advise the Spirit man today

Picture
AM Armanen Rune: Os:
Havamal 148.
The fourth one I know, when a foe has tied up
My arms and hands;
The fetters fall from my leg, when I chant that song,
And off my hands the ropes come.

That which is offered, freedom, Wodanic energies, leadership, mouth, speech,
the effort to convince, deed following the word, the Divine Breath, kingship,
discussion, idea of that which is given/evolving, the spiritual power that is
gained through speech, it is the breath of the world, its voice, strength that a
person needs to rise up in power, freedom from the bondage of the material world.

Interpretation: A gift (Gebo) leading to freedom (Os)

Outcome: Toby was well behaved on his .6 mile walk.  Even @ .6 miles he was
already turning into a slug-muffin.  It’s just a bit to muggy and warm for him.

A bit more work on Ancestry.com.  Great-great-great grandfather, Peter Jacob
Reimer (1802-63), married to Anna Wiebe (1809-61).
*So, I am now the proud German product of the
Reimer/Schmidt/Hildebrand/Goertz/Hiebert/Zielke/Dirksen/Wiebe families.

Mowed front yard only.  Essie on her tether.  While I was inside getting a
drink, a couple of dogs came by and I think Essie laid-low.  The dogs came by in
the neighbor’s backyard and Toby went nuts.  I hurried out the front door and
Essie came a running.  Putting Essie inside I let Toby out to chase them off.
Things went well for a bit as butts were sniffed, but all of a sudden, WHAM!
Toby was serious about protecting his turf.  I called Toby off and he responded
well.  His point was made.  Shortly after that a kid came by on his bicycle
looking for them.  I told him they were around somewhere close, so his search
continued.  After he left I saw the dogs a second time and called the kid back
with my booming voice as he was into the neighborhood to the east.  Thankfully,
he came to collect his animals.

Possibly my last communication with J_:
“Your things have been collected.  I’ll have them on the porch first thing
Monday.  In the meantime, I’d gladly reconsider our relationship when you offer
an apology.  I’ve done nothing wrong to bring us to this point.  You, on the
other hand, failed to communicate to me anything different than our relationship
was on track.  I cannot and will not be held accountable for things about which
I knew nothing.  My conscious is clear in this.  You are completely at fault.  I
await your apology.”
This may seem accusatory, but this is truly how I feel.

Two loads of laundry

Late morning; 2nd breakfast; scrambled eggs with cheese, hash browns and turkey bacon.

What an EXCELLENT gift (Gebo) of football/soccer and the freedom (Os) to watch it!

PM Meditation: Nirdu, brother-husband to Nirda, parents of the Wanâ ; Ing-Frô and the Frouwa, beloved god of harbors and seas close to land; help us to remember the cargoes of wealth that float to our doors daily from the wonderful Universe in which we live. Though our misfortunes may rise and fall like the tides, the chance of prosperity, like the eternal sea brimming with fish, is still there. Like the salt-sea spray, awaken us to the possibilities that surround us, so that our nets may be cast wide and return full of life’s gifts. WE GIVE YOU A MOST HEART-FELT HEIL, NIRDU, as we honor the Nirdu that resides in us all!

PM Clarification Rune: none
