I honor you this day, and I honor every bit of you that resides in me.  I’m grateful for the strong German heritage you’ve provided. I look forward with eager anticipation to the great family reunion on the other side.  I offer you my undying love, honor, respect, and gratitude.
•           no doubt the ones who brought the family over from Europe.

Elder Rune Summons:
Born of fire, born of ice
Life is lived at such a price
Elder Runes in your way
Advise the mortal man today
<>
Elder Rune: Naudiz: The Rune of Need (whether mortal, emotional, spiritual), a Wurtâ Rune, forced friction, a stress indicator, opportunity for change, urgency, a generating force for the greater good, friction, transformation, resistance leading to strength, perseverance to endure, eventual peace within the Self, accept the unchangeable, an evolutionary change toward a more holistic state, Fate.
*A2R2; Aett 2, root 2, Yggdrasil’s root of destruction

Armanen Rune Summons:
Born of fire, born of ice
Life is lived at such a price
Armanen Runes in your way
Advise the Spirit man today
<>
Armanen Rune: Ar:
Havamal 154:
A tenth one I sing, when dangers at sea forces me

To protect my ship from the stormy waves;
The storm I calm down, no matter how billowing the sea,
And I cradle the waves to sleep.

Dangers calmed, protection, challenges eased, comfort/stillness, primal fire, nobles, destruction of physical darkness reborn into spiritual light, confidence, Ing-Frô, the Sun, the path to the Light, will, leadership, all that which is beautiful and Sun-like, change to good, virtues, honor, glory, rewarding work, completion, light, Divine spirit, power contained in light that washes away darkness, wisdom, beauty, virtue, trust, honor, fame, Rune of the initiate, Symbolism of the Lord of the Light-elves that returns home from darkness, Rune of peace and good seasons.
“Respect the primal fire” (List, 56).
*H2R4; Halbdutzend 2, root 4, Irminsul’s root of destruction
<>
Rune Lesson:  Naudiz has always been problematic for me, but coupled with Ar brings tremendous clarity.  Naudiz is about stress, or the ability to get the backbone to endure stress.  As we go thru a stressful situation, we KNOW our dangers are clamed!
*from destruction to destruction

God/dess Meditation: Sunday, Sunna’s Day, Sunna, goddess of the Sun:
Greetings to you Sunna, in all your feminine, fertile glory; Lamp of Wodan, newly risen! Hail to you who is the counterpart to Mano, male aspect of the Moon.  You have shown on all our ancestors, you shine on us, and you will yet shine on our decedents yet unborn. Share with us some of your light, your energy, your power, so that we might better fight our battles and attain our goals. WE GIVE YOU A MOST HEART-FELT HEIL SUNNA, as we honor the Sunna that resides in us all!
