Rough night.  An unexpected thunderstorm rolled in overnight.  Donar was very
vocal and Toby was such a weenie.  Thunderstorms are the ONLY time he’s allowed

Outcome: Early in Toby’s walk he ignored me.  He took it upon himself to trot
over behind someone backyard despite my repeated calls to return.  He finished
his .8 miles on the retractable.  The walk wasn’t cut short because of Toby’s
bad behavior, rather, because the heat was already firing up.  Unfortunately,
summer HAS returned to Oz.

In Sock’s Cat House I’ve placed a chair close to the sliding glass entry door
in order to open wider the curtain and expose more of the glass.  Socks has
certainly taken to the chair as a place to get an added view and to nap.

Off to my WONDERFUL niece’s for D_’s birthday party.  OMGs, she has an inflatable there and the party is out in the barn; PERFEKT!  Man, there were a plethora of kids.  With D_ in pre-K and ready for K, he’s become quite popular evidently.  My niece seems to be well on her way to become the room mother.  She’s so cool.  I stuck around for a while, but the heat drove me home.

I spent A LOT of time this afternoon on Ancestry.com.  What I’m looking for this time are their dates.  I think I might have found the German ancestor who traveled from Russia, back to Hamburg then on the ship that came over to the US.  I’ve made it back to the mid-1800s on the Reimer side.  Already the birth/death dates are becoming blurred.  I’m not sure how much farther back I can go.  It was SUCH an EXCELLENT time!  What HAS happened is a proven German ancestry;
Reimer/Schmidt/Hildebrand/Goertz/Hiebert/Zielke/Dirksen.

Neighbor lady has some nice orange flowers that bloomed well into the spring. I inquired of them, but she could never tell me what they were.  Today, she brought over some roots for me to plant.  Nice…

that is, until lately.  L_ told me about T1’s racism.
