DR. EWALD IS BACK!  Toby’s visit to the Veterinary Health Center at Kansas State University went exceptionally well.  Dr. Ewald said Toby is healing up perfectly.  His eye pressure is between 9 and 10 in both eyes, down from 12 to 15.  Toby’s healing is progressing well enough that he’s in the process of being weaned off his eyedrops.  I didn’t ask this question, but I remember someone saying Toby will probably be on some kind of eye drops the rest of his life.  I’m figuring, jeez, I give Toby insulin twice a day, what are a few eyedrops throughout the day?  Unless Toby has some kind of unforeseen deterioration. I think we can say (knock on wood) that Toby is well on his way to being healed, all thanks to the good people at the Veterinary Health Center at Kansas State University.

Rune Lesson: Some see Ziu as the god of the Thing.  I, on the other hand, see Ziu as the Sergeant of Arms at the Thing.  IMO, he is the ENFORCER of the Law, not the presider of the law.  He brings a goodly amount of strength to the table.  Not only that, but he brings a certain amount of magical empowerment along with his characteristic of his highest ideals.  Of honor, the 5th day of Yule suggests:
            The Noble Virtue of Honor is the ability to hold your head high in all situations. It’s the adherence to what is right or to a conventional standard of conduct. JsFnChst!  I try to so responsibly take my medication early to get a good fasting glucose reading.  WTF do I do?  When I was outside loving on Socks, open the gate so he can go in the back yard and I went to check the straw-bale garden.  I see one, ONE ripened small/cherry/grape tomato…ONE.  FUCK!  I come quickly come inside to take my glucose reading, and just that quickly it shot up to 132 on the right hand and 126 on the left.  SMH; better luck tomorrow.
