Home for lunch for medicine, Toby reaps the benefit of coming inside on a
fairly nice day.  Why do I come home for cold medicine?  Work has a zero
tolerance for any medication coming onto the property.  What they have in their
first-aid cabinets is junk, but it’s the way of things.  I was told if I am
caught bringing medication on the property I could be fired.
Good PM work.

On the way home traffic lights at to neighborhood intersections were out. 
Asking a neighbor, he said the power just now came back on as I was getting home.

HORRIBLE night trying to get to sleep with this cold, even after taking cold meds.  My sinuses were just SO packed with mucus.  I tried to sit up in bed, which worked, but I certainly wasn’t going to get much sleep with this nonexistent headboard.  Wait…AH-HA…the comfy leather chair…IT WORKED!  It worked so well I slept until 8:45!!!

Quickly ran out to check on Socks who was ready to go into his Cat House.  Checking the Cat House, once again, it’s cool.

Hm…a few sprinkles of rain, so I gathered up the mower and chords into the shed.

I tried to let Essie on her Tether, but once she realized the sprinkles, it was like, “OH HEL NO DAD.  ARE YOU F-ING MAD?”  ROTFLMFnAO!  Essie doesn’t cuss very well.

Went ISO Fat Cat.  Found him easily!  Now I know that neither Fat Cat nor
YaWK met their demise in the demolition of that house on Everett and McCormick. 
YaWK IS a bit sickly, though.  WHEW!

FINALLY got around to a very yummy breakfast; sausage gravy on toast,
scrambled eggs with ham, (turkey) bacon and diced potatoes. 

US Bank called during breakfast about my request for a
reduced percentage rate.  I asked him to call back in a couple hours.  I waited
until noon, but nothing.  

Yard mowed back to the Wîhstat, but OMGs the heat!

During hibernation time, I made “Jell-O No Bake Peanut Butter Cup
Dessert”…WOW…I’m good!

Neighbor bozo came over because he’d cut his hand on some glass.  I
immediately had him wash it and apply pressure with clean tissue.  Once I got a
good look at it, determined that stitches weren’t necessary, I applied
antibiotic ointment and bandages.  I felt good I could help him.  As much as I
don’t really care for him, it was my moral responsibility (Raido) to apply my
male leadership (Man) in this.
*Follow-up says he’s okay.  I left him with a fresh, large bandage and
ointment.

Checked on Socks in his Cat House.  He’s fine.

about going out last night, and since I was up a bit early, I put her out on her
tether.  She and Socks immediately began loving on each other.  She was good to

AM work problems.  Two of our fans were missing because FUCKING Eldon does
anything he wants to do.  The cooling system on his machine gave out so he took two of our three fans.  Immediately, I stumbled on one replacement fan.  By 1sr break both fans were replaced.  It wasn’t that hard, WAS IT ELDON??????  Our fans are industrial, so they are directional rather than oscillating.  The only fan initially left was, of course, the one directed toward the lead person.  FUCK!  At least the situation was rectified well enough.  Now, if I go in tomorrow and more are missing I’M GOING TO SCREAM!

Home for lunch.  The heat is on.  I didn’t give Socks an option to come out.
PM work went well.  Coming up on finishing 90-days probation (which makes no
sense since I was there more than 90 days with the temp service).  Medical,
Dental and Life insurance info was made available.

During work I though much about my Uncle Jake.  I remembered him from when I
was a wee lad.  I THINK he was Mother’s Uncle, so my memories of him come from
me being roughly 5yrs old or so.  I remember his house being on the west side,
close to Mayberry Jr. High area, north of Maple St.  His house wasn’t very
large, but it had a large crawlspace which dictated a raised porch.  Uncle Jake
wore denim bib overalls and wore a train engineer’s hat.  He had a large nose. 
I remember enjoying him very much.

Also during work we had another critter visitor.  This time it was a wolf spider; obviously a momma with babies on her back.  I tried very carefully to collect the whole she-bang, but momma made a sudden move.  All the babies scattered.  I was able to collect a few of them AND momma to take them outside.  Momma will live to have more babies another day. 

I’ve also been thinking about Fat Cat and YaWK.  I am concerned their absence
coincides with the demolishing of the vacant house at McCormick and Everett.  I
don’t even dare voice my actual concerns, but I don’t think they fared well.
