Rune Lesson:Luck is absolutely crucial in the Heathen belief system.  It’s equally important to have be the type of person that anyone can know that we are good for our word.  As a matter of fact, fidelity, as spelled out among the traits within the Nine Noble Virtues and the 12 Days of Yule, states:
6th Day of Yule – Remembering the Noble Virtue of Fidelity
As a basic ethical principle, the Noble Virtue of fidelity is the quality of being faithful or loyal. Fidelity is a characteristic that is worthy of emulation. We must remain loyal to who and what we are. Those around us need to have the ability to take us at our word, and our word needs to be our bond. A handshake is all that should be required to seal the deal in any verbal, written or implied contractual obligation between individuals. Rune Lesson: Any harvest requires attention.  Without due diligence, there is no harvest.  However, with some good luck and hard work, any harvest can generate some serious freedom for a clan, or community.  Good food stock removes the threat of the inability to survive.  There is some serious freedom in that kind of relief.

Prepared Hobo Stew; usually I use canned potatoes.  Today, without any canned potatoes, I actually diced and boiled them.  They turned out perfectly.

The rain has stopped.
Toby and I out for a perfectly behaved, noon hour, two block roundy.  Up to this point, I have let him set the pace.  Today, I started using the “scoot” voice command.  Toby knows that “scoot” means get a move on.  He did really well with that.  He did more Toby prancing than he has ever done since he lost his sight.  See?  He really DOES know he can trust me.

OMGs, the hobo stew was excellent!  It was perfectly spicy because of the tomatoes, and the fresh potatoes were perfectly done!  Chocolate sundae for dessert.
