Home long enough to secure the house, give fresh water all around, then off to Medford.
*early in the road trip, I saw a seemingly, fairly young, river snapper https://www.pinterest.com/pin/358036239108854652/ rummaging around on the highway.  Checking traffic, I opted to get out of my car to help it.  As it wasn’t fully grown, it was more easily maneuvered; nonetheless, keeping away from its jaws and claws, which were formidable.  Twice I picked it up, twice it tried to take a piece out of me.  I was still successful in taking it to the other side where it was safe with the standing water.
*@ the Medford Mennonite cemetery, I talked to a really nice gentleman from the area who was also a Reimer.  We talked a bit about my great-great Grandmother Agatha Reimer being the reason I was there in the first place.  I just so happened to still have my genealogy information with me, and was able to show him how my Grandfather Reimer was born in Medford.  We ascertained we weren’t immediately related, but no doubt distantly related.

​After years of searching, disappointments and dead ends, I FINALLY found my Great-Grandparents on my Mother’s side.  For YEARS I thought they were probably buried on their property along the highway west of Lehigh.  Friday, I called the Marion County clerk’s office and she told me where the might be.  I went to 210th street and Chisholm Trail Road, rather muddy and dangerous, slightly west and north of Lehigh.  SUCCESS!  I was absolutely beside myself with emotion.

Toby and I out for an exceptionally well-behaved, late-morning, 30min walk. 
*early into the walk I saw limbs cut down from a neighbor’s tree.  I saw some pieces I wanted.  When I saw ASPLUNDH http://www.asplundh.com/ in the neighborhood I inquired when they were going to be taking these limbs, which was pretty-damned-soon.  I set aside the pieces I wanted, then came back to get them when I was done with Toby’s walk.
*Toby KNOWS he’s not supposed to go into the street.  So, when I gave him the opportunity to drink curb water, he was hesitant.  Instead of going into the street, he dropped to his front elbows and lapped water from the curb.  As long as the curb-water has no sheen to it, and Toby’s thirsty, I don’t mind him getting a drink.
