Long-tail wants and tries to jump up on counters, which I don’t mind.  He’s tried jumping up via trash can and failed.  I even put out a step stool, with which he has problems navigating.  There’s nothing I can do for him with the trash can, but there IS something I can do with the step stool.  I cut up an old pair of jeans, wrapped them around the steps, and duct-taped it down to the steps so he has a way to grab onto it.  At first, he was a bit skeptical because of all his failed attempts with both the trash can and the step stool, yet, once he realized what has been done for him, he was all over it.  He can now easily, and on his own volition, access his feeding station.  It is imperative I keep Essie and Long-tail’s feeding stations separate.

I had a conversation with R, a neighbor, about Long-tail.  It seems Long-tail may be praying in his guardian’s home; hence, I can relate. Long-tail is not interested in going into R’s house, and seemingly not able to stay @ T’s house because of the spraying.  Just like the others, I open a door before them and let them make up their own minds.  Long-tail made the conscious decision to stay inside. Today, I tried to put Long-tail on the porch.  He accepted it, yes, but was soon at the back door ready to come inside.    Again, I think I have another kitty.
