I honor you this day, and I honor every bit of you that resides in me.  I’m grateful for the strong German heritage you’ve provided. I look forward with eager anticipation to the great family reunion on the other side.  I offer you my undying love, honor, respect, and gratitude.

Elder Rune Summons:
Born of fire, born of ice
Life is lived at such a price
Elder Runes in your way
Advise the mortal man today

Elder Rune: Algiz: Protection/shielding, Heimo (the genetic connection between gods and the Folk), guardian of Ensiwëg, the Rainbow Bridge, expansion of archetypal consciousness, awareness, divine realizations, an awakening, drawing on the natural Will, invocation/supplication to the gods, preparedness, sanctuary, embracing the Divine plan, a safe harbor, connection with current events, the Elk, or swan.
Conversely:
Outside the favor of Heimo, failure to integrate humanity with the Divine, without divine protection, possible dangers lurking, lack of preparedness, inability to embrace fear, failure to face the ultimate good in all things, tested by the natural Will/Universal voice, without the need for protection, the inability to see/understand/connect with what’s coming, an aspect of death, helplessness.

Armanen Rune Summons:
Born of fire, born of ice
Life is lived at such a price
Armanen Runes in your way
Advise the Spirit man today

Armanen Rune: Hagal:
Havamal 151.
A seventh I learned, if the hall is burning
With fire around bench and comrades;
However bright it burns, I will banish the blaze,
As soon I sing the magic chant.

To enclose/destroy, danger brought under control, introspection, awareness, eternal change, the Mother of all Runes, the cohesion of the world, die (pronounced ‘dee’ German for ‘the’) Alle Mutter, Frija, that which cares and maintains, protects, and preserves; that which is motherly; wisdom, harmony, salvation, blessing, protects from hail and fire, eternal change, caring and maintaining principle in the Universe, Higher Self, the perfect human being, Divine within, the Rune of humanity, married to the World, Rune of enclosure but contains a potential for growth, builder/architect of the worlds, the macrocosm of the world itself.
“Harbor the All in yourself, and you will control the All” (List, 54).

Interpretation: Genetic connection (Algiz) leads to die (pronounced “dee”) Alle-Mutter
Or
Protection (Algiz) leads to die Alle Mutter (Hagalaz).

God/dess Meditation: Ostara, trustworthy goddess; husband to Brego; the adherent god of scalds, keeper of the golden apples of youth and eternal life, keep us young inside. When we are starving for laughter, hungry for the lightness that comes with having few years on our shoulders, slip us one of those gleaming fruits that we may see the world through youthful eyes. Let springtime be in our steps, love in our hearts and a song on our lips. Change us to the core! Fill us with optimism and dreams for the future. WE GIVE YOU MOST A HEART-FELT HEIL, OSTARA, as we honor the Ostara that resides in us all!
