I honor you this day, and I honor every bit of you that resides in me.  I’m grateful for the strong German heritage you’ve provided. I look forward with eager anticipation to the great family reunion on the other side.  I offer you my undying love, honor, respect, and gratitude.

Elder Rune Summons:
Born of fire, born of ice
Life is lived at such a price
Elder Runes in your way
Advise the mortal man today

Elder Rune: Laguz: A body of water, the necessity of water as a life source, life well-lived, life ever-flowing; seen and unseen, going with the flow, fluidity, the leek (a healing herb) the feminine, Nirdu, Erda (Mother Earth), Ing-Frô and Frouwa, emotions intact, potential for life, magical workings, conform with emotions, personal growth, the basic energy and secret source of organic life, feeling, the deep minded Spirit, intuition.
Conversely:
A dried-up body of Water, the struggles of life, swimming upstream, difficulties with relating to the feminine, manipulation, lack of moral fiber, emotions out of control or suppressed, shallow minded, deception, unsympathetic, totally void of growth, failing to go with the flow, frivolity, immaturity, depression, inability to formulate with the emotional world, unstimulated, sinking/drowning, disconnect with the Inner Self.

Armanen Rune: Tyr:
Havamal 156.
A twelfth one I sing, when I see through the brush
The hanged one swinging from the hemp;
He climbs down from the trunk, must tell me his tale
When I carve the Runes right.

Oh, by the way, I forgot to mention, on the way to work yesterday, I noticed police cars in front of Bob’s house @ the corner of McCormick and Bonn.  OH NO, I thought.  I stepped out of my car to have a word with the guy in the car in the driveway.  Bob died.  Bob lived alone in his tiny one-bedroom home.  I inquired his age, and I was told he was 70-something.  I figured he was in his 80s.  Bob enjoyed Toby, and Toby found Essie on Bob’s porch.  Sad…

Well shit:
Almost to work and I reach for my QT thermos…OMGs, I forgot it…. reaching for my dinner bucket…OMGs forgot that too.  I bought the hela out of the vending machines.
*almost $10
Well shit:
My 1st shift colleague did little to no clean-up around the table shaper.  His claim was that he was getting berated by the first shift Super for something that, according to him, had nothing to do with him.  He apologized but didn’t offer to stay to clean up.  It became MY FAULT because I failed to get him to stay.  I WAS LIVID!
Well shit:
Am I going to have a ticket on my windshield for parking in the wrong lot?  Sure, I have a J-lot placard and I’m parking in K-lot simply because it’s closer.  Several months ago, I was told BY A SECURTY person that they were opening K-lot to 2nd shift parking due to the dangers crossing MacArthur.  The company email said they were going to start ticketing now, presumably due to the new crossing light crossing MacArthur.
*whew…no ticket

Last check on all fur-kids.  Socks out to tend to kitty business.  What?  Socks already back on the porch this quickly?  OH!  Rain!  Socks RAN back into his house.  I also had to turn on his space heater.  I love Socks so much.  I’m glad I have it to do this for him.  I don’t mind insuring his warmth on a chilly night.

God/dess Meditation: Ostara, trustworthy goddess; wife to Brego; the adherent god of scalds, keeper of the golden apples of youth and eternal life, keep us young inside. When we are starving for laughter, hungry for the lightness that comes with having few years on our shoulders, slip us one of those gleaming fruits that we may see the world through youthful eyes. Let springtime be in our steps, love in our hearts and a song on our lips. Change us to the core! Fill us with optimism and dreams for the future. WE GIVE YOU MOST A HEART-FELT HEIL, OSTARA, as we honor the Ostara that resides in us all!
