I honor you this day, and I honor every bit of you that resides in me.  I’m grateful for the strong German heritage you’ve provided. I look forward with eager anticipation to the great family reunion on the other side.  I offer you my undying love, honor, respect, and gratitude.

Havamal 154:
A tenth one I sing, when dangers at sea forces me

To protect my ship from the stormy waves;
The storm I calm down, no matter how billowing the sea,
And I cradle the waves to sleep.

Dangers calmed, protection, challenges eased, comfort/stillness, primal fire, nobles, destruction of physical darkness reborn into spiritual light, confidence, Ing-Frô, the Sun, the path to the Light, will, leadership, all that which is beautiful and Sun-like, change to good, virtues, honor, glory, rewarding work, completion, light, Divine spirit, power contained in light that washes away darkness, wisdom, beauty, virtue, trust, honor, fame, Rune of the initiate, Symbolism of the Lord of the Light-elves that returns home from darkness, Rune of peace and good seasons.
“Respect the primal fire” (List, 56).

Rune Lesson: This is another one of those amazing Rune lessons that just pulls it all together.  Get EVERYTHING under control, and dangers will be calmed.  It just doesn’t get much clearer than that.  Trust in your relationships and comfort is sure to follow.  If you DON’T have that trust, if the control isn’t there, all can be brought to darkness.  Work on the positive.

1st check on all fur-kids: food, water, litterboxes, shelter.
<>
Outcome: 6 ½ hrs. of solid sleep, but when I woke up, JsFnChst the demands began!
*Lily demanded sink time (fresh water running)
*Jasmine demanded loving.
*Toby demanded to go out.
Ya know what?  I’m good with all this!
<>
Call into El Paso Animal Hospital.  They verified that no one locally does cataract surgery.  K-State it is.
<>
Called K-State Veterinary Health Center to start the info sharing process.  Return call expected.
<>
Note to Self; Toby’s 11:30am feeding and insulin.
<>
I tried to take Toby out for an early afternoon walk.  Something has happened.  I don’t think he can see much at all anymore if he can see anything.  I took him home and into the back yard.  He’s bumping into things now.  It’s tearing me up inside.
*mostly cloudy, mild, south breeze.
<>
Wifey reminded me that temps are getting below freezing tonight and to cover sensitive plants.
<>
Ranch Style Beans with jalapeño https://www.heb.com/product-detail/ranch-style-beans-with-sliced-jalapeno-peppers/142108 and sliced hotdogs atop hand shredded hashbrowns + a Klondike bar.
*this brand of beans is so good; I just may shop Amazon to get ‘em.
<>
I’m fully convinced now that Toby has lost most or all of his sight.  Call back into K-State told me they aren’t doing surgeries other than emergencies for the foreseeable future due to COVID 19, but Toby IS on a list.  Toby’s local veterinary seems to think that Toby is a good candidate for the surgery.  No matter what, no matter how it falls, I’m standing by Toby.

Hodgepodge for dinner.
<>
Yeah, I need to go out with Toby when he has to potty, at least until I’m comfortable that he has mapped out the backyard in his head.

Two hours of Ghost Whisperer

Online chat.
<>
Note to Self; Toby’s 11pm feeding and insulin.

*a bag of Cheetos Crunchy, a bit of mead, and a bit of smokable CBD; BOOM-BOOM!  Out go the lights!

Last check on all fur-kids.

God/dess Meditation: Thursday, Donar’s Day, Donar:
Donar, Son of Wodan and Erda, husband to Sibba with the Golden Hair, wielder of Malant and Great God of thunder, thunder forth in our lives. When we would hold back, encourage us to advance. When we would be weak, hearten us be strong. When we would shun life’s pleasures, inspire our appetites for that which is lusty and good. Excite our growth from strength to strength; teach us, elder brother, how to throw our own Hammer, and slay the giants who oppose our will. WE GIVE YOU A MOST HEART-FELT HEIL, DONAR, as we honor the Donar that resides in us all!
